That’s the first statement I hear from inside the small house in front of me. Saray’s natural fragrance is getting more and more intense the closer I
1 walk into the first room without knocking, the people inside jump in shock. They are a small family, two men, probably brothers judging by their looks. Then there is a middle aged woman, a teenage boy and and two little twin daughters.
There is no fumiture in the room except a small cabinet. Everything else is set on the floor, inclurling a mattress and a blanket at a corner.
Sarah must have been here, her smell is everywhere.
“Your highness?” The woman exclaims, they
ey all bow slightly except the two little twins who gape at me with broad smiles.
“You’re beautiful!” One of the girls screams running to me, the other one follows. I take the two in my arms as they happily wraps their small hands around my neck.
“Your Princess was here! I think she looked beautiful tool” One of the girls says. “But she was hurt and uncle Edward had to put bandages on her
My heartbeat picks up speed. I put the twins down but keep them close.
You saw my Princess!”
“Yes! Mike saved her from the river, she had long, beautiful hair One of the twins answers.
“But we think she ran away when we went out to see you come down the mountain” The other informs.
She ran away!! Again?!
The girl angel I had left behind now enters the room. The twins hides behind me as if they are afraid of her.
“We are sorry your highness, Sarah has been with us for more than a week. She only woke up from her coma yesterday. Edward treated her untill she was well. We were planning our journey to your palace when we heard your army was coming and went out to check. When we came back she was gone.” One of the men apprises
“You were stupid to have left her alone in here!” The angel girl snaps. She goes ahead to saunter around the room, checking out things with a face full of disdain.
“Gone where?!” I ask
“We don’t know, she is most likely in the forest. The man answers.
“That’s where she was when we left.” One of the little girls points at the mattress and blanket.
I walk to them. They y indeed smell like Sarah. I raise the blanket to my nose and breathe in the scent.
“I think this is addressed to you!” The girl Angel announces holding up a piece of paper. I stand and take the little thing away from her.
To His Majesty The Angel Prince!
The folded paper reach. I unfold and find more writing inside.
“It is me, Sarah Macron, your wanted culprit, I wrote this because despite all you have put me through, I I still believe you care about the truth. I didn’t attack your mate, I didn’t do any of the things people tell you I did.
I am running far away from your kingdom, far away from you and your beloved Irene. If you leave me alone, you’ll never see me again, you’ll have a peaceful, long life with your queen,
You wanted to punish me, to hurt me because that’s what pleased my sister.
Haven’t you done that already? I have scars and broken limps, I look like the monster your mate claimed I am. Hope that makes you happy!
You may go back and tell my family that I am not coming back, I’ll no longer be their disgrace, they can rest and forget about me. Whether I die or live, they will never hear from me again.”

Chapter 15
My hands shake as I read Saralo’s letter, tears sting
sting my eyes. She still thinks I am hunting her, that I still care about trene
Het painful words makes my heart beat hard. I need to find her, I have to. At least I know she is alive, and that’s all matters.
“That girl doesn’t deserve you? Let her run if that’s what she finds right, you don’t have to keep chasing someone who doesn’t care about you? The Angel says coming to stand close to me.

“Don’t you think you deserve better! 1 would do anything for you, anything to please you, why can’t you give me the chance!” She argues but I am no longer listening to her.
I walk out of the house and take into the air. If Sarah was here at the time we were arriving, she won’t have gone far.

Now I feel her really close, I can almost hear the sound of her heanbeat. She is not moving, probably because she decided to hide instead.
I track the scent to a hole on a giant rock. I stealthily approach the hole, good thing she is yet to phase because she would have noticed me coming-
Standing right in front of the little opening, I see my mate curled almost to a ball inside. She got a bandage on her forehead and a few more on other parts. The right hand is in a sling
Even with the bandage and her eyes shut, her face still retains a dazzling beauty. Her thick hair has obviously not been comped for days, yet it looks so glossy and soft to touch
I move closer, reach out and take hold of her good hand. She jolts, trying to get away from me,
But she is trapped between the back wall of the stone and me. Her fear is so intense that her arms are literary shaking.
She attempts jerking her hand away but my grip is tight. She brings her mouth down to bite my hand, I use my other hand to take hold of her chin and force her to look directly at my face.
“I ain’t going to hurt you, Sarah! I know you didn’t attack Irene. Don’t be scared, angel!” I say in a gentle voice. That seems to calm her down a little.
“Then why? Why are you and your soldiers hunting me?” She demands in a shaky voice.
“Because you’re my angel, you can’t feel it because you haven’t phased yet.” I say and her brows rise. She doesn’t believe me. I am sorry for all the horror I have caused you! You don’t have to forgive me now, just let me take you home, I will make it up to you.”
“You think I am stupid to believe that? You want to kill me because Irene hates met She screams, her beautiful eyes getting wet with tears.
“Irene is in pack cell’s, I put her and her friends there because of all the things they did to both of us.” I say, her eyes go wide, she is shocked.

She still cares about her evil sister! My mate is too kind for her own good.
I am not the type that likes to manipulate people. But everyone has things that they die to get and will do anything to have them. Sarah has become that one thing to me.
I pull her out of the hole and into my arms, she cringes. A least I know it is because of fear and not because she isn’t mine.
Her scent is overwhelmingly luscious, I can barely control the urge to seal my lips with hers and kiss her, hard. Taking her good hand by the wrist. I bring the fingers to my lips and gently suck on the tips of her middle fingers. She quickly curls them.
“Why did you hurt Irene? Your love was fake?!”
Did I love Irene? She was beautiful, but not with the features I find attractive. Laccepted her because I thought she was my mate, kind of forced myself to love her. Because that is what was expected from me.
“Your evil sister set me up so I can hurt you. For that I ordered her execution after five days! Sarah’s gapes up at me. “But I will call that off if you go back with me.” I mutter, not so gently because I want her to notice I am serious about the execution.
“You monster?” She furiously brings her foot up to kick me. I block the blow with my leg.
“I swear I will kill you if you dare hurt my family!” She screams, thrusting hard in my arms. I let her unleash her anger until she is out of breathe.

Time don’t kill Irenet. Ican’t bear loosing my only sibling“” She begs, tears now falling running down her cheeks.

Sarah goes wild again, her good hand slapping me on the chest. It’s her left hand which carries no noticeable force. It makes me crave her touch instead of feeling pain.
1 put one hand around her waist, pull her until our bodies are touching. My other hand goes around the back of her head, holding her still as I lower my lips to hers. I do my best to keep it gentle, but… oops! My mouth ends up doing the opposite.
I take her lower lip between my teeth, sucking and biting gently. She wriggles in my arms and 1 have to release or she gets hurt.
Suddenly, the idiotic girl angel comes swooping down at a baffling speed. Her hand wraps around my waist, she sweeps me off my feet and into the
air so fast that I have no time to react
I look down and see Sarah take off running, disappearing into the forest. I angrily shove the

I stan flying back down again, the ugly thing blocks my path. “What the fuck are you doing?!” I roar.
“She was hurting you! I wanted to get you away from her!” She food yells.

“I won’t let you get yourself hurt! You can break my neck if it pleases you”
Okay, I will have to force her then.
Urgh! How can I fight this skinny thing!
