Chapter 28
Sienna
“Sieniu! Get in here!”
The door next to her creaked open, and Jenna stuck her head out, looking like she’d just rolled out of bed. It was almost noon, and she’d been sitting in the hallway for several hours just waiting for Jenna to wake up. Even her parents had come in and out of their room several times earlier. going down for breakfast and then hack to the room before heading out for the day.
Sirma got up and walked into the room behind Jenna, closing the door. The kick in the gut she’d gotten the night before was fresh on her mind. and she preferred not to have another one, so she planned on doing everything she could without making Jenna mad.
“What are you wearing!” Jenna asked, a hand on her hip. “Those are not your clothes.”
Sienna was already in trouble, and she had just stepped through the door. “No, Miss Jenna.”
“Where the hell did you get them? Did you steal them!”
Sienna fought the anger that began to build up inside of her at the implication. She’d never stolen anything in her life. “No, Miss Jenna Luna Hannah let me borrow them”
“Seriously!“Jenna exclaimed. “Good grief, Siennia! You can’t keep begging clothes off of our hostess What are you? Some sort of a mooch! Goddess, I hate you.” The last part was muttered under her breath as she headed into the bathroom
Sienna said nothing and followed behind her, waiting to be told what to do.
Heat the shower up. Get my outht laid out for today. Make sure that it’s ironed. I don’t want any wrinkles in it. None. Make sure you’ve got all of my accessories laid out for today, 100. Do you think Kaden will like those hoop earrings? Oh, how the hell would you know? You know nothing about men. Get the hoops out, but the other ones out too. The long, silvery dangly ones. You know?”
“Yes, Miss Jenna.” She knew which earrings she meant. She’d learned a long time ago to remember what code words Jenna had to describe each pair of carrings
“Alright. Now, BELOU
f here so I can get ready”
“Yes, Miss Jenna, Sienna said as she finished turning the shower on to warm up and then closed the glass door. She was heading out to do the rest of the things Jenna had requested when Jenna stopped her
“Oh, and you’ll be going to the ball.”
Sienna froze and slowly turned around in shock. Even though she’d overheard the conversation Jenna had had with Sylvia the night before, she didn’t expect her to actually follow through with it. Despite the fact that it would be a great opportunity to embarrass Sienna in front of lots of people, it might also be a chance for Sienna to embarrass Jesus as she had the night before at the dinner party
Saying nothing. Sienna stared at Jenna as a smile lit the blonde’s face. “That’s right. You’re coming. I will get you a dress. You will wear it, and you
will like it
There was no point in arguing, so Sienna–only said what she always said. “Yes, Miss Jenna”
w why I want you there!”
Taking a step closer, her pink, silk robe whooshing slightly as she moved, Jenna asked, “Don’t you want to know wi
Sienna wasn’t sure how to answer that, but it seemed like a trick. “I do whatever you ask, Miss Jenna.”
True. You do. Usually, But this time, I want you there because I want you to have a good time.”
Sienna raised her eyes for a second to look at Jenna’s face and saw that she was trying to hide a smirk. She couldn’t even keep her face straight when she said that
Jenna continued. “You know, Sienna. I’ve been thinking about it. Esa Alpha Kaden looking at you yesterday. Sure, Beta Alec seems to like you, but
I don’t think he’s the one you should go after just think about what it would be like if you were the Luna of this pack. You wouldn’t ever have to take another order again. Wouldn’t that be fun!”
It was obvious to Sienna that Jenna thought she was a moron and was trying to fool her into thinking that she might have a chance with Kaden. In reality, Jenna had no idea what she was talking about. She couldn’t possibly know that Kaden was her fated match.
“I haven’t really thought about it,” she lied. In fact, sitting in the hallway, waiting for Jenna to wake up, it was about all that she’d thought about
“Well, you should. Honestly, Sienna, my new friends and I are going to give you a great makeover. By the time we’re finished with you, Kaden won’t be able to keep his eyes off of you” jenna giggled as if she couldn’t even believe the lies coming out of her mouth.
Swallowing hard, Sienna said, “Whatever you’d like, Miss Jenu”

The bathroom door opened, and Jenna came out in her robe, her wet hair in a towel “What’s that dreamy look on your face?” she asked, amused. “Are you dreaming about the ball?”
In the mirror, Sienna saw the evil look in Jenna’s eyes. “No. Miss Jenna Sienna said, even though that wasn’t quite true. She had been.
“Well, you should. You’re going to have the best time. I just hope I can make up for all of the hardships you’ve been through in your life.” Jenna must’ve forgonen how mirrors worked because the grin on her face was pure evil.
Senna helped her get dressed and ready for the day, not commenting on Jenna’s plans for the ball or thinking about Kaden for more than a second or two before she pushed thoughts of him away. Jenna hummed a popular old love song that was likely to be played at the ball the entire time, not

Jenna turned and looked at her like she was a moron. “Yeah. We’re going to have a walk around town. You have to come with me. I might need you to carry something”
“Yes. Miss Jenna.”
Most of the time at home, she’d be cleaning all day, so this was different, but Sienna didn’t really like the idea of spending all day with Jenna either. The last hour they’d spent together might be the longest they’d ever been in the same room without Jenna hitting or kicking her. That couldn’t last.
After Jenna ale some brunch in the kitchen, the two of them walked outside, Jenna in front, and Siema behind, “I think Kaden’s office is this way,” Jenna said. “I think I want to go say hi. I’m sure he’ll want to see you.”
Sanna said nothing, knowing she was the last
person in the world he’d want to see.
When they were almost to the office, Sylvia came flying out the door and almost ran straight into Jenna. It was clear she was crying. “What’s wrong“” Jenna asked.
Sylvia swiped at her cheeks, trying not to cry. She looked Jenna up and down and said, “Nothing. I’m fine. It’s just don’t go in there. Alpha Kaden is busy. Really busy.”
“You look upset,” Jenna noted
Sylvia shrugged “It doesn’t matter
Sienna rarely saw Jenna genuinely concerned about someone else, so this pouty look had to be an act. Still, when she said, “Sienna, I’m going to go have some coffer with my new friend. You can get lost for a few hours,” Sienna was relieved. Until she added, “Right after you go in there and tell Kaden you want him to dance with you at the dance” Her eyes cut into Sienna, slicing through her flesh like a sharp knife.
