Chapter 19
The school ball was Oldburn University’s annual traditional activity. On the night of the ball, Oldburn University would open the gate and welcome people from other schools and society.
Every year, the school beauty rankings were based on the ball.
Natalia had to participate. She was a member of the student union.
“Charlotte, are you not participating in today’s ball?” Natalia opened her eyes wide and looked at Charlotte.
“No. I don’t want to dance with anyone other than Marcus.” Charlotte shrugged.
“Can you please be a little reserved? You talk about him all day long,” Natalia complained. After thinking about it, she added, “But Charlotte, I think Mr. Gallegos likes you.”
“I don’t think so.” Speaking of that, Charlotte was a little depressed. “He said before that I should stay away from him.”
Looking at Charlotte, who was a little unhappy, Natalia wanted to comfort her.
But then, Charlotte shook her head and became spirited again. “But I believe that Marcus will like me sooner or later.”
Natalia shook her head with a smile. “But if you don’t go, the title of Campus Belle may fall on Lisa again.”
“It doesn’t matter. Sooner or later, people will know how hypocritical she is. Her good days are going to be over soon,” Charlotte grinned.
While they were talking, Natalia’s phone rang. It was a message. Natalia looked at her phone, and her smile froze on her face.
“What’s the matter?” Charlotte, who did not hear any sounds anymore, looked up at Natalia and found that her expression was weird. Charlotte quickly sat down next to Natalia.
“He will also come to the school ball tonight.” Natalia’s face was pale.
Charlotte instantly understood that Natalia was talking about her ex–boyfriend, Dexter Thomson.
“Don’t tell me you are still in love with him.” Charlotte looked at Natalia seriously. “Once a cheater, always a cheater.”

Natalia shook her head with a pale face. “I don’t like him anymore. I just feel sorry for myself.”
“Actually, you should have asked your brother to kill him directly.” Charlotte made a throat–cutting gesture.
Natalia was amused. “Do you think my brother is a homicidal maniac?”
“What are you going to wear at night?” Charlotte looked at Natalia up and down.
“The school rented a dress for me.” Natalia was still absent–minded.
“Let me see it,” Charlotte said.
Natalia stood up and took out the dress from the cabinet. Charlotte shook her head.
It was a white formal dress. The cut and texture were not very good. It couldn’t show Natalia’s temperament at all.
“Let’s go. I’ll help you change.” Charlotte stood up abruptly and pulled Natalia out.
They took a taxi to the largest shopping mall in Oldburn, Eternity Mall.
The mall was located in the most prosperous central area of Oldburn. There were stores of all kinds of international first–tier
brands in the mall.
‘Charlotte, why did you suddenly want to go shopping?” Natalia asked.
Charlotte sighed speechlessly, “I’m not going to shop for myself. I’m going to shop for you.”

“Me? I don’t need to buy anything.” Natalia did not understand.
“Trust me. You do.” Charlotte said calmly, “I guarantee that the jerk will regret it so much at night.”
Charlotte pulled Natalia straight to a couture brand, White Snow.
White Snow was a couture brand that had suddenly become popular in recent two years. Its chief designer, Smokey, was like a dark horse that suddenly broke into the public vision and won many international design awards very quickly.
“Welcome.” The enthusiastic and thoughtful guide came forward to greet Charlotte and Natalia.
Charlotte did not hesitate at all. “We want the latest dress designed by Smokey.”
“Miss, I’m sorry. The latest design of Smokey needs to be booked at least half a year in advance,” the salesperson explained.
“The dress you show in th
window will probably fit her.” Charlotte pointed at Natalia.
“Sorry, the sample dresses were personally made by the chief designer. They are not for sale.” The salesperson almost couldn’t maintain her smile.
Forget it, Charlotte. There’s no need.” Natalia shook her head.
Charlotte patted Natalia on the head. “Wait for me. I’ll go make a call.”
“It’s Ms. Dennis,” Jalen saw Charlotte in the store and whispered in Marcus‘ ear.
Eternity Mall belonged to the Gallegos Group. Today, accidentally, Marcus went to the mall to check its running situation.
Marcus stopped and looked in the direction of Charlotte.
Charlotte’s eyes were shining, and she patted the head of the girl beside her with a smile.
The executives of Eternity Mall, who were reporting their work, were so nervous that they broke out in cold sweat. They didn’t know why Marcus stopped.
Charlotte turned around and saw Marcus, who was looking at her outside the door.
She turned her eyes, quietly put her phone back into her pocket, and bounced out the door.
Jaien silently took a step back.
“Marcus.” Charlotte sweetly rushed to Marcus‘ side and grabbed his arm in a very natural way.
Apart from Jalen, everyone gasped.
They thought, “What a bold girl. Does she want to die?”
Charlotte pouted unhappily and wondered why everyone got startled when they saw her.
Marcus did not seem to notice that Charlotte was holding his arm. “What’s the matter?” he asked coolly.
“I want to buy the latest dress designed by Smokey. But they won’t sell it to me.” Charlotte looked very depressed.
Marcus glanced at Jalen. Jalen took the hint, went aside, and made a call.
“Take whatever you like,” After saying that, Marcus left with the group of executives around him.
Soon, Charlotte’s phone vibrated. She did not look at it. Charlotte smiled and ran back to the store.
The salesgirl quickly received a call and respectfully led Charlotte and Natalia to high–end dresses designed by Smokey. “Miss,
we have received a notice from the headquarters. You can choose any clothes and directly take them.”
Natalia looked at Charlotte in surprise, thinking, “Any clothes? And directly take them? Is it for free?
Are we really in a store of White Snow?”

“I met Marcus just now,” Charlotte said complacently.
Natalia covered her forehead speechlessly.
She thought, “Marcus really dotes on Charlotte. But Charlotte, this silly girl, can’t see it.”
“He is my man. You can choos te
ou like.” Charlotte waved her hand as if she was the boss.
Natalia poked Charlotte’s face. “Can you please have a little self–dignity?”
Charlotte smiled and stopped talking. She seemed to be in a good mood.
Charlotte quickly picked a blue bubble dress for Natalia.
Natalia put on the dress and looked extremely beautiful.
The design of the dress revealed her shoulders and fair skin. Her collarbones were clear, and her neck was as long and elegant as a swan’s. The pearls on the waist of the dress, under the light, were shining. Natalia looked pure and pretty.
Charlotte nodded in satisfaction. “Good. This is it.””
After choosing the clothes, Charlotte took Natalia to the makeup studio. Natalia’s whole body, from her head to her toes, was changed.
“Nati, you must be the most beautiful princess tonight.” Charlotte was very satisfied. “It will be a huge slap on Dexter’s face.” Natalia covered her mouth and grinned happily, “Okay.”
