“Marcus, take me away.”
Charlotte’s crying voice came, which wrung Marcus‘ heart. Without any hesitation, he took off his suit jacket and draped it over Charlotte’s shoulder. Marcus put his arm around Charlotte’s waist and took her out.
“Charlotte, listen to my explanation.” Terry rushed over.
Marcus gave Terry a sharp look. His calm gaze forced Terry to stop in his tracks.
If Marcus wanted to take someone away, who dared to stop him?
Regan and Loren were quite far away from Charlotte. When they arrived, Charlotte had been taken away by Marcus.
Just like that, at the engagement banquet, the fiancé was caught in a scandal, and the fiancée was taken away by the president of the Gallegos Group, leaving behind the guests who were thrilled about what would happen.
Terry got involved in such a big scandal. Marcus, the person in charge of the Gallegos family, should have come out to deal with it, but he left regardless.
Robert Gallegos, Terry’s grandpa, slammed his walking stick against the ground in anger. Robert had to personally come out to preside over the situation.
“Terry, you let me down. What a disgrace!” Robert used his cane to hit Terry’s leg.
Terry knelt on the ground and kept kowtowing. “Grandpa, I don’t know why these things appeared. You think highly of me, so someone deliberately framed me. You have to believe me. It’s not true!”
Everyone present was smart. With the current status of the Gallegos family, who would dare to play a false video in such a grand scene?
It was most likely that the video was true.
Although Robert had retired for many years, he was not muddled. He would not believe Terry’s lame explanation.
“You dare to quibble.” Robert swung his cane again.
“It is my family’s fault. We will find out the truth and give the Dennis family an explanation.” Robert declared in front of the crowd. “Terry looks gentle. I didn’t expect him to be such a person.”
“Terry has an awkward position in the Gallegos family. Now, it’s even harder for him to have a footing.”
“Some people wondered if Terry could compete with Marcus. Now, Terry was completely defeated because of a woman.”
The crowd whispered.
“Charlotte and Lisa are good friends. But Lisa takes Charlotte’s boyfriend behind Charlotte’s back. How disgusting!”
“Lisa relied on Charlotte to squeeze into the upper circle. Now Lisa will be reduced to being who she used to be.”
“That bitch used Charlotte’s support to make a lot of trouble for me. Now, let’s see how tough she will be.”

Ever since Charlotte left the banquet hall, her cell phone rang non–stop. Looking at more than 20 missed calls and countless messages, Charlotte texted her mother that she was safe. Charlotte then turned off the phone and threw it into her bag.
After her rebirth, Charlotte desperately wanted to have a relationship with Marcus and wanted to test his feelings for her.
Charlotte didn’t worry that Marcus would be angry.
“Marcus, I want to go to Ecstasy Palace.
Charlotte turned to look at Marcus softly.

A piercing braking sound rang out.
Marcus turned to look at the beautiful girl in the front passenger seat. He was in disbelief and somewhat angry.
“Say it again.”
“I want to go to Ecstasy Palace.” Charlotte stared at Marcus timidly and repeated.
“I’ve never been there. All men like to go there. I want to see what’s good about it.”
“I don’t dare to go alone. Marcus, can you go with me?”
Marcus sneered and wondered, “You don’t dare to go there. Why do you mention it?”
“Too many things happened today. I want to vent my anger.” Charlotte rubbed her eyes in a pitiful manner.
Thinking of what Charlotte had just experienced, Marcus suppressed his unhappiness and sighed. He could not bear to blame Charlotte.
Marcus was silent for a moment, then started the car, and took Charlotte to the fanciest club in Oldburn, Ecstasy Palace.
Mr. Gallegos, I’ve prepared the usual private room for you.”
The manager of Ecstasy Palace, Merlin Clinton, had been waiting at the door. He greeted Marcus and Charlotte as soon as they entered the hall.
Marcus did not refute, and Merlin wanted to lead them upstairs.
“I don’t want to go to the private room. I want to go to the dance floor.” Charlotte was annoyed.
“No.” Marcus flatly refused.
Marcus frowned and looked at Charlotte disapprovingly.
Didn’t Charlotte know how chaotic that place was? It was not suitable for her at all!
“Marcus…” Charlotte refused to move, pitifully shaking the corner of Marcus‘ clothes.
Merlin gasped in astonishment. Charlotte had the guts to bargain with Marcus and even touched the corner of his clothes.
All people in Oldburn knew Marcus had a fetish for cleanliness. He never allowed women to get close to him. The public secretly guessed that Marcus had some unspeakable secrets..
There was once a young lady from a rich family thinking Marcus would treat her differently because of her family background. She tugged at the corner of Marcus‘ clothes coquettishly.
Unexpectedly, Marcus didn’t respect her and directly threw her onto the street, not showing any mercy at all. Robert could do nothing but throw things in anger,
After all, Marcus was the current leader of the Gallegos family. He brought the family up the ladder step by step and became the top family in Oldburn.
Merlin thought, “What a pity! This woman is so beautiful.
Even if she doesn’t die, she will be crippled.”
Merlin was lost in his thoughts when hearing Marcus sigh.
Marcus couldn’t bring himself to blame Charlotte.

“Go to the dance floor.” It was simple and concise. Then Marcus returned to his usual superior aura.
“Alright. Please follow me.” Merlin hurriedly stole a few glances at Charlotte.

How strange! I have never heard of Marcus having such a lovely girlfriend.”
Merlin searched for information about Charlotte in his mind.
