Once she returned home, she collapsed onto her bed. She felt like an empty husk, and her head was throbbing painfully.
At that point, it was uncertain when her animal hospital could return to business as usual. The hospital’s reputation had taken a severe hit and was closed indefinitely. Her employees had resigned en masse, and she was still dealing with ongoing lawsuits and compensation issues.
Additionally, after being beaten up by Amos, her body had sustained substantial injuries. Beyond the visible bruises, she had also suffered internal injuries which necessitated a few days of hospital stay.
However, she had chosen not to involve the police.
The Hayward family owed her far too much. On top of the lives of her mother and maternal grandparents, they also owed her the Menard family estate. She had to force herself to remain calms and plan for the long run.
Previously, she had hoped to sever ties with these unscrupulous people and go her own way. However, she was now driven to a comer. New grievances piled onto old grudges, and she had never felt such a strong desire for revenge before.
She was well aware that the Hayward family’s top priority at that time was the alliance through the marriage of Abigail Hayward and Drayton Quiller.
The Quiller Pharmaceutical Group was an industry leader, with branches spread across the globe and tens of thousands of employees. In addition to its core business of pharmaceutical research, production, and sales, their business empire also extended into areas such as medical equipment, real estate, and finance. The company was worth hundreds of billions.
The prospect of forming a union with the influential and affluent Quiller family must have filled Rubina and Wallace with immense anticipation
The most lethal revenge on this family would be achieved by targeting that man.
Reflecting on this, Janelle felt a sudden jolt of life course through her body.
Half a month swiftly passed by
Janelle’s health was almost fully recovered, and her overall mental state was rejuvenated.
That morning, she spent a good couple of hours on herself. She Bathed, washed her hair, applied makeup, and carefully selected an outfit. She meticulously groomed herself from head to toe.
Standing before the full–length mirror, she almost could not recognize herself.
The woman in the mirror was dressed in a form–fitting black dress which perfectly outlined her voluptuous figure. From her beautifully sculpted shoulders and neck, to her slender waist, down to her long, fair legs, every inch of her was a testament to
her allure.
Additionally, she possessed a stunningly beautiful face, with distinct features that were enhanced by the slightest touch of makeup, making her beauty so radiant it was almost blinding. Her enchanting eye, in particular, were captivating. She was too beautiful to behold.
Still watching herself in the mirror, she tilted her head to reveal her ears. She adorned her lobes with pearl earrings. A confident, almost victorious smirk played at the corners of her lips,
After she was satisfied with the way she looked, she discreetly slipped a pack of condoms into her purse. Strutting in her towering stiletto heels, she grabbed her bag and headed out the door.
She entered the address of Quiller Pharmaceutical Group’s headquarters into her car’s navigation system. With her sunglasses on, she pressed the accelerator, driving towards her destination at a steady pace.
An hour later, the car stopped in front of a large building on the outskirts of the city.
This was the headquarters of the Quiller Pharmaceutical Group. It was an impressive spectacle to behold. The building was

not only grand and majestic. It boasted a rooftop courtyard and glass walkways, exuding a modern, high–tech vibe typical of a leading pharmaceutical company.
After parking her car, Janelle registered herself before entering the main building
The floor where the CEO’s office was located was not accessible to just anyone. Typically, only high–ranking company executives or the CEO’s personal assistants, who had been given access cards and had their faces scanned, were allowed entry.
However, Janelle had already made all the necessary preparations. After quickly entering a password, she rode the elevator up to the 10th floor without any difficulty.
Finally, she arrived at the entrance of Drayton’s office
Just then, his secretary had to step out for a bit. Janelle approached the door and, without much hesitation, locked the door
behind her.
Upon entering his spacious, luxurious office, she noticed him reclining leisurely in his leather chair. His eyes were closed as if in deep thought. Perhaps he was sleeping because he did not open his eyes immediately
She stealthily moved closer to him step by step. Her high heels made no sound on the woolen carpet.
It was not until she approached his desk that the man seemed to detect her familiar, subtle scent. Suddenly, his eyes flew open.
