Unable to resist, he closed his eyes, his throat bobbing. At that moment, any lingering anger was extinguished, and he gradually lost his resolve. Once again, he found himself lost in the raw, intense passion with her…
In the spacious and luxurious office, the air was thick with sensual ambiguity.
His phone on the office desk rang a few times, and an employee even knocked on the door once, but he ignored them all.
As an extreme sports enthusiast who had lived abroad for over a decade, Janelle was an inherently passionate woman. She was bold and forthcoming in bed, putting her own satisfaction above all else
Over an hour later, their lovemaking finally came to an end.
He lounged on the couch and lit a cigarette out of habit,
It was unclear what was on his mind, but he was visibly relaxed after releasing the tension.
Janelle felt as though she was falling apart, her mind still replaying the recent events. Her throat was parched, and she reached for his personal cup to take a sip of water.
When she settled back beside him, intending to say something, Drayton casually tossed his phone onto her, his voice cold and indifferent.
“Decide how much you want, transfer it yourself. Once it’s done, you can leave.”
Clearly, the intense encounter that just took place was merely seen as a transaction in his eyes.
From his perspective, she had meticulously planned her visit to his office with the sole intention of seducing him, all in pursuit of money.
Bul
this time, Janelle had a different plan in mind.
She gave a cold, mocking laugh, casually tossing his phone back to him. “Mr. Quiller,” she said with an air of indifference, “I’m no longer interested in your money. What I want is something more-
“What do you want?” he asked.
“You
Upon hearing this, Drayton’s face noticeably darkened, and he retorted in a low voice, “What do you mean?”
Janelle lifted her leg, once again straddling him face–to–face. Her captivating eyes met his for a moment before she said, “To be honest, I plan to entangle myself with you, quite seriously at that.”
This statement was simple, straightforward, and forceful, brimming with a declaration of war against him. It was so powerful that it seemed to suppress half of his aura.
He was only taken aback for a few seconds before he ruthlessly pushed her off his lap.
“Don’t think just because I’m willing to sleep with you, you can push your luck over and over,” he grumbled under his breath, visibly irritated. He took the last few drags of his cigarette before stubbing it out in the ashtray, not even bothering to spare her another glance.
Janelle had anticipated this reaction, so she remained as composed as ever,
Leaning casually against the couch, a cold smirk played on her lips as she spoke with a profound undertone. “Drayton, you shouldn’t have involved yourself with me without fully understanding who I am. Trying to extricate yourself now, I’m afraid, will be quite challenging. Anyway, just think of me as a madwoman. Even I’m scared of myself when I become obsessed with a goal. Prepare yourself mentally. See you next time!”

After she had said her piece, she felt that she had accomplished what she had come here for today. She quickly got up, gathered her phone and purse, and headed toward the door.
Drayton didn’t pay any attention to her nonsense. Not a single word sank in
Just a moment ago, this woman was intimately close to him, yet the next moment, she nonchalantly walked away. Her case in controlling her emotions left him inexplicably flustered as if she had subtly manipulated his feelings.
At that moment, Janelle, who had reached the doorway, suddenly turned back. With an air of nonchalance, she tossed out one last remark.
“Right, you and Abigail Hayward are planning to hold your engagement party in a week, aren’t you? I suggest you cancel it. It’s an unlucky day.”
