With a somber expression, Samuel stated assertively, “How could it have nothing to do with Casimir? They’ve been friends since childhood, and you were once engaged to Casimir. Now, you’re involved with his close friend. What kind of situation is this? Regardless, I forbid you to have any dealings with Percival. One reason is Casimir, but more importantly, if the Lorimer family finds out, they won’t just be angry with you. Instead, they would also implicate the Goodridge family!”
Raylee was so upset that she nearly dropped dead on the spot.
She lowered her head and fiercely bit down on Samuel’s hand.
“Argh! Let go of me!” Samuel cried out in agony. He quickly released her, but she didn’t let up in the slightest.
Only after drawing blood did Raylee release her bite.
She spat out forcefully, ridding herself of Samuel’s blood that had somehow found its way into her mouth. After wiping her lips, she finally said in a tone of disgust, “Watch your mouth, or I’ll bite you to death. If that doesn’t kill you, I’ll bash you until you die! I’m not the same Raylee as before. Push me to the edge, and I might just take your life in an instant!”
“Dare you?” Samuel was seething with anger. “I’m your elder brother, yet you’re so disrespectful, always ready to pick a fight with me. If I don’t teach you a lesson, you’s lose sight of who’s calling the shots!”
Samuel raised his hand, poised to deliver a slap, when suddenly, someone firmly gripped his wrist.
Percival had been searching all the way, and from a distance, he spotted two people engaged in an argument.
Seeing Samuel about to hit Raylee, he couldn’t help but thunder, “Mr. Goodridge, hitting a woman is not something a man should do. A man’s hands are meant to conquer the world!”
“It’s you? I haven’t even settled the score with you, yet you have the audacity to show up in front of me?” Samuel said in a menacing tone.
“I have always been open and aboveboard. Why should I fear to appear before you?” Percival asked, a look of confusion on his face. “Also, what issue do you have with me? I don’t seem to have a conflict with you, Mr. Goodridge.”
Raylee didn’t want Samuel’s suspicions to taint Percival’s ears, so she gently pulled on his arm and said, “Dr. Shapiro, he’s had one too many, just here ranting in his drunken stupor. Don’t mind him. Let’s get going quickly.”
“All right.”
Although Percival didn’t quite understand, he didn’t press for answers. He left with Raylee.
Raylee even rested her hand on Percival’s arm.
From Samuel’s perspective, that scene depicted the intimate behavior between the two individuals.
Immediately, his face twitched with rage. As suspected, Raylee is indeed dating Percival! What’s more, she’s deliberately flaunting their relationship for me to see! She could be a hopeless romantic, but is Percival so dull? Doesn’t he understand the situation? Doesn’t he know he’s not the right match for Raylee? After all, he’s an authoritative figure in the medical field. How could he possibly not understand the seriousness of the situation? He’s stubbornly doing something even though he knows it is impossible. This is simply infuriating! Samuel’s face turned an angry shade of purple, and he was planning to teach that clueless man a much–needed lesson. Under the influence of alcohol, he took a swift stride forward.
A fist was then ruthlessly slammed into Percival’s back.
Percival was hit so hard that he staggered forward, teetering unsteadily for a few steps. He nearly ended up falling flat on his face.
Glancing back, he was surprised to see that Samuel was the one who had hit him.
Besides, Samuel had no intention of stopping.

She didn’t expect that Samuel would have the audacity to lay a hand on Percival.
After all, he was chastising her earlier for flirting with Percival.
Hence, even if he were to hit someone, logically, he would hit Raylee.
Indeed, he’s stupid, leaving people clueless about what he’s really thinking! Raylee, much like a mother hen protecting her chick, guarded Percival fiercely. “Samuel, stop it! If you continue this madness, don’t blame me for losing my patience!”
She strained her throat, shouting furiously at Samuel.
“How dare you defend this adulterer? Believe it or not, I’ll hit you too!”
Samuel’s teeth gritted with an audible grind. Every word he roared out was laced with intense anger.
Raylee was left utterly despondent by Samuel’s obtuse and obstinate behavior. Just moments ago, he was accusing me of being promiscuous. Now, however, he’s branding Percival as an adulterer. So, in his eyes, is there no one worthy of his respect? Oh! Yes, there is. His dear sister and the Goodridge family! He’s blindly devoted to his beloved family members, even when they commit horrendous acts.
