Chapter 255 No Prying
Samuel clenched his fists in fury. “It’s absolutely disgusting! She actually dared to sleep with a married man! She’s completely tarnished the reputation of the Goodridge family!”
Halston was visibly upset after hearing those malicious speculations about Raylee.
It felt as if his first crush, which had captured his heart at first sight, had been trampled upon.
“Hmph, even if Ray–Ray is dating a sugar daddy, I still like her. As long as you’re skilled enough, there’s no woman you can’t steal. Besides, which sugar daddy could possibly outdo me? I’m as handsome and suave as they come. It’s only a matter of time before Ray–Ray belongs to me!”
After making his declaration, Halston left with an air of supreme confidence.
Samuel scoffed, “What a dumb simp!”
Meanwhile, inside the luxurious car, the masked man gently held Raylee’s chin, his hand slowly shifting to her face, tenderly caressing her delicate complexion that was as smooth as cream. “Are you happy that I came to pick you up in person?”
Raylee held him tightly. “Of course I am! Every single moment I spend with you fills
Se with joy!”
At that moment, she was as elated as a little girl who had just received a piece of candy.
The tone of the masked man, however, became serious as he asked, “Why did you stir campus?”
Raylee playfully stuck out her tongue, then cheekily said,

“It’s all because of your incredible scar ointment, it healed all the scars on my skin. I was
quite the looker, but now I’ve become even more stunning! On top of that, you’ve been having the housekeeper pamper me with delicious food and drinks every day. Look at me, I’ve been fed until I’m all plump and rosy! If you keep this up, I’m going to turn into a big, fat girl. You’re definitely going to despise me, then. No, I must lose weight!”
The man in the mask let out a chuckle.
His hand gently moved from her cheek, trailing up to her head, affectionately tousling her hair that gave off a delicate fragrance.
His thin lips, veiled by a mask, gently kissed the palm of her hand.
Raylee had grown accustomed to feeling his kisses through the mask.
Even though the mask was as cold as ice and devoid of any warmth, the comfort it brought her was akin to basking in a- spring–warmed meadow, filling her heart with anticipation.
After all, he was her salvation.
Over the course of these five months, she was able to move past the gloom of Vera’s passing.
The significant transformation she underwent, be it in terms of appearance or mindset, was all thanks to the masked man.
Wrapping her arms around his neck, Raylee couldn’t help but ask, “How long will you be staying in Jexburgh this time? I missed you so much.”
The man’s black eyes were filled with deep affection and desire as he replied in a husky voice, “Young lady, it’s only been half a month since we last met, and you’re already missing me? It seems sending you off to study was the right decision, otherwise, you’d be completely lovesick by now.”
“Hmph! Don’t you know that every day without you around feels like a year? Have you ever been in love before?” Raylee retorted.
The dialogue carried a warm and natural atmosphere, and it was as if Raylee had returned to who she was four years ago.
Even though her stint in prison had managed to erase who she used to be, the masked man had collected her shattered pieces

He was both her benefactor and her lover.
“I have. I was in love with a girl for many years,” the masked man replied with a sigh.
With anticipation written all over her face, Raylee looked at him, her voice tinged with a playful whine as she said, “Go on; tell me more!”
“You’re trying to pry into my past again, aren’t you? Not allowed!” The masked man feigned annoyance as he playfully brushed against her cute, upturned nose.

“Fine, since you don’t like discussing your affairs, I won’t ask.” Raylee shrugged helplessly.
“I saw how you defeated them with your combat skills just now. You’ve improved significantly in the half month we haven’t seen each other.” The masked man praised, “Keep up the good work. I’ll arrange for a martial arts instructor of higher caliber for you when we get back.”
Raylee said with a beaming smile, “To be honest, even the most experienced instructor can’t compare to you. Only the techniques you taught me were of use. As for the rest, I’ve completely forgotten them.”
“It seems to be that your combat skills aren’t the only ones to have improved. You’ve also gotten better at blowing smoke,” the masked man said in amusement.
“Haha, I’m telling the truth. A great teacher produces outstanding students!”
Amidst their cheerful conversation, their car arrived at the most upscale residential area in Jexburgh–Royal Court.
Not only did the masked man help her improve her physical and physiological well–being, but his financial capabilities were also incredibly impressive.
Aside from the globally limited–edition vehicle he owned, even the house where Raylee lived was among the most expensive properties in Jexburgh.
The entire residential area consisted of only eighteen mansions.
The residents were all wealthy and influential. They were either low–profile tycoons or figures who held tremendous power.
Living in Royal Court was a symbol of status.
Therefore, buying a house there was incredibly hard, as money alone wasn’t enough to secure one.
Raylee was unaware of just how powerful the masked man truly was.
All she knew was that he was a kind person who had made a fortune and excelled in every aspect.
Most importantly, he had an incredibly impressive medical team.
Not only did they heal her body, which was severely battered during her time in prison, but they also helped her achieve a complete recovery.
The team’s self–developed scar removal cream had worked wonders on her. It had healed her body’s scars so perfectly that her skin was as delicate as a newborn’s.
It transformed her completely, giving her a new lease of life.
This high–tech cream, if released on the market, would unquestionably outperform any other aesthetic treatments.
She knew she was blessed as to be fortunate enough to meet the masked man.
Upon returning home, a small child rushed toward Raylee, his voice soft and sweet.
“Mommy, why did you come back so late? I missed you terribly!”
Raylee picked up the little bundle of joy and held him tightly in her arms, showering him with kise
She gently coaxed, “Didn’t we talk about this? I have to go to school, just like how you have to go to kindergarten. Once school is over, I can come back.”
The child, Dodo, hugged her arm and complained in a childish tone, “Then I want to go to school with you too! The children in kindergarten are too childish. I don’t even like playing with them!”
Raylee laughed softly, rubbing Dodo’s chubby little cheeks.
“Sure, but this matter requires your daddy’s approval. It isn’t my decision to make.”
