Raylee’s eyes welled up with tears. “Tell me the truth; are you seeing someone else? Or perhaps, you’re keeping multiple women in separate homes out there? I can’t tolerate betrayal. If you truly have another woman, I’ll let you go without any fuss.”
The masked man was caught between laughter and tears. He let her go, his coarse palm gently caressing her cheek as he said, “What are you thinking? If you’re uncertain, you can video call me. I’m open to being checked on twenty–four seven. After all, my dear Ray–Ray, you are the lady of the house!”
Only then did Raylee feel at ease. She pouted and said, “Remember, you said it yourself, so you’d better not complain that I’m bothering you!”
The masked man chuckled. “Not at all! Being under the watchful eye of one’s wife is indeed a blissful thing.”
“Look at you, always sweet–talking!” Raylee laughed as she playfully pounded his sturdy chest.
“Come here, I have a surprise for you.”

Following that, the masked man guided her to sit on the couch, pulled out a jewelry box, and placed it in her hands.
“Originally, I planned to give it to you after I returned, but seeing as you were filled with so much doubt and insecurity, I just couldn’t hold back. I suppose giving it to you in advance isn’t a bad thing after all.”
What is this…” Raylee opened the jewelry box to find two diamond rings, each the size of a pigeon
Her mouth dropped open in surprise. “Rings?”
“To be exact, these are our wedding rings. I’ve never given you a ring because I’m unwilling to make a promise lightly. But over the course of these five months together, I believe we have both acknowledged each other as soul mates. If you accept this ring, then it signifies that you are willing to spend the rest of your life with me as my soul mate. Would I have the honor, Ms. Somers, of possibly becoming your other half for the rest of your life?” said the masked man.
“Yes!” Raylee’s voice choked up, unable to hold back the tears that welled up in her
eyes.
She promptly took out the rings, slipping one onto her own ring finger, and the other onto the masked man’s ring finger.
As their fingers tightly interlaced, the large diamonds shimmered with specks of light under the glow of the ceiling lamp.
Raylee couldn’t help but exclaim, “It’s so beautiful! I really like it…”
The masked man, however, furrowed his brow. “That’s odd; why aren’t our names engraved on the rings?”
He removed both rings, only to realize that neither of them had names engraved.
He couldn’t help but lose his temper. He first called the jewelry designer, questioning how they could have made such a huge
mistake.
In the end, he handed the ring over to his assistant to take it back to the jewelry store for a complete redesign.
Upon seeing the masked man’s outburst, Raylee was initially taken aback..
All along, he had always presented himself as a gentle and refined man in front of her. Even when he was scolding someone, he would do so gently.
The thought that his anger was sparked by his worry over the ring, filled Raylee’s heart with an undeniable joy.
She cheerfully escorted the masked man to the door, “Dodo and I will be waiting for you at home. Hurry back once you’re done with your tasks.”
After a sweet exchange of endearments, the two reluctantly parted ways.
After Dodo finished his bath, he emerged to witness the scene. He then reacted like an adult, shaking his head and sighing as he said, “Sigh… Oh, Mommy… You’ve gone down the road of a hopeless romantic, and there’s no turning back now…”

Dodo complained in a whiny, babyish voice, “Oh, yes, very fierce. The housekeeper secretly told me that Daddy suffers from manic episodes. It’s quite frightening. Back when I was silent, he would berate the doctor, calling him worthless, a b*stard, likening him to a pig that couldn’t do anything useful! Sometimes he would lose his temper, causing a lot of damage around the house. It would get to the point where we had to call the doctor over. They would have to confine him to his room and even sedate him.”
Raylee fell silent for a moment. “Don’t spout nonsense, Dodo. Your father seems perfectly fine to me. How could he possibly have a temper disorder?”
“It’s up to you whether you believe me or not, but you mustn’t marry him. Be careful, Mommy! He might be abusive!”
Looking at the little one acting all grown–up, a laugh escaped from Raylee.
A moment later, she asked, “By the way, Dodo, have you ever met your biological mother?”
“Yes, I have. I see her every day! Daddy said you’re my biological mother!”
“What I’m referring to is the woman who gave birth to you. You’re not my child; I’m merely your stepmother.”
“But Daddy told me that you gave birth to me,” Dodo stated.
Despite the conversation making little sense, Raylee didn’t expect to get much out of a child with autism, so she simply took Dodo back to his room.
