The way he looked so pretentious while spouting nonsense was so amusing that those who heard him felt like laughing.

Before she even had a chance to retort, Dodo was already yelling at him, “You’re not Mommy’s dad! How dare a deceitful man like you call yourself my grandfather? You’re so shameless!”
Raylee couldn’t help but laugh when she heard that. “Mr. Goodridge, even a child could see through your scheme. Have you completely given up on preserving your dignity?”
Alaric wore an expression of embarrassment.
Harriet quickly changed the subject. “Ray–Ray, when did you have such a grown–up son? How come we didn’t know about it? Don’t tell me you became a stepmother at such a young age? Absolutely unacceptable! You mustn’t be so naive to put yourself at a disadvantage like this!”
Meanwhile, Casimir continued to serve as the spokesperson for the masked man. “Rumors had it that Mr. Foucault had a son with autism who would call anyone his mommy. Despite Mr. Foucault’s global search for renowned medical expertise, he was unable to find a cure for his son.”
The masked man nodded, saying, “You do seem to understand me well.”
As he spoke, he beckoned to Dodo. “What did I tell you before we came here? Have you forgotten so soon? Stop calling others ‘Mommy‘ and hurry over to my side!”
Reluctantly, Dodo returned to the side of the masked man.
Before coming here, the masked man had indeed told him not to address Raylee as ‘Mommy‘ and to keep his relationship with Raylee a secret.
Although he had promised to behave himself, he couldn’t resist the urge the moment he saw his mother.
Thank goodness, Mommy is still mine! She didn’t run off with the green–haired turtle!
The thought filled him with such joy that he couldn’t help but let a happy smile spread across his youthful face.
Harriet nodded. “I see, you gave me quite a scare. I thought for a moment that Ray–Ray had become a mother!”

Alaric continued to try and build a connection with Sebastian by saying, “Mr. Foucault, why don’t you join me in the lounge? I’ve prepared some fine wine and food. We can chat while we dine. You must have come to our country with the intention of launching a project, right? Given my familiarity with various industries, I’d be more than happy to offer you some advice.”
“Dad! This is my charity sale, and it’s about to start! If you leave, who will be the spokesperson?” Waverly protested.
However, Alaric didn’t respond to her words.
What could a tiny charity sale amount to, anyway? Nothing here is more important than Mr. Foucault! If one could get into the good graces of someone as globally influential as Mr. Foucault, the benefits would be too numerous to count!
Waverly tugged on Casimir’s sleeve. “Casimir, could you speak on behalf of my father, please?”
“Waverly, it’s fine as long as the charity sale goes smoothly. There’s no need for anyone to be a spokesperson. I’d like to have a chat with Mr. Foucault later.”
Casimir’s attention was also focused on Sebastian.
No one matters more than Mr. Foucault right now! Even if my parents were to arrive, they would have to take a backseat!
The masked man, however, waved his hand, refusing and said, “Mr. Sutherland, Mr. Goodridge, please carry on with your work. There’s no need to go out of your way to entertain me. I came here recently on a business trip and happened to pass by, so I decided to drop in. Truthfully, I’m not one for crowded events.”
Upon hearing Sebastian’s words, Alaric didn’t dare to press on any further.
If he were too enthusiastic and ended up scaring Sebastian off, then he would have suffered a great loss.
Alaric’s gaze then fell upon Raylee’s face as he reminded her with a smile, “Ray–Ray, Mr. Foucault just saved you, so you should express your gratitude to him properly. From here on, you will take my place in entertaining Mr. Foucault.”
He was implying that she should seize the opportunity.
If she could reel in this big fish, then she wouldn’t have to worry for the rest of her life, and her family would also be able to ride on her coattails and rise to great heights.
However, Raylee simply walked away without paying any heed to his words.
Alaric was both upset and embarrassed, but he dared not show it.
In the time that followed, Raylee did not interact with the masked man and Dodo.
Aside from not wanting others to know about their relationship, she was determined to not let Alaric have his way.
This ought to drive him crazy!
