Raylee was seated on the sofa, when Halston, who simply wouldn’t go away, sidled up once again to shower her with unwanted attentions.
Despite that, her gaze was constantly fixed on the masked man, who was chatting with Layla not far away.
The two of them seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their conversation, as if they were quite familiar with each other.
This left Raylee utterly baffled.
When did Layla get to know the masked man? What is the relationship between them? He acted as if he didn’t know about my relationship with Jeremiah even though he clearly did, and he never told me that he knew Layla!
She had countless questions, each weighing on her daily like a massive stone.
Raylee felt extremely agitated.
In that moment, she wanted to rush over, tear out the masked man’s heart, and see just how many secrets he was still hiding from her.
Meanwhile, Casimir’s gaze had never once left Raylee.
Seeing her stare intently at Sebastian, her expression alternating between confusion and anger, he initially thought she was jealous of Layla.
A chill flashed across Casimir’s face as he couldn’t help but approach and cautioned her, “Taken a liking to that man already? I suggest you drop the idea. Mr. Foucault is way out of your league! His presence is godlike, whereas both you and I are mere mortals. We can never hope to associate ourselves with someone from the elite circle.”
“I enjoy looking at those who are better than you. Is it any of your business? You’re such a busybody, always meddling in others‘ business!”
“Did you fall in love with Mr. Foucault at first sight? Come to your senses, will you? Before falling in love with someone, you should first be aware of your own standing and see if you’re truly a match for them. Otherwise, you’re the one who’s going to get hurt in the end!” Casimir said, clearly annoyed.
“You’re right; I didn’t see clearly before. It’s as if I was blind to have chosen you. You truly didn’t deserve me, and that’s why I got hurt by you. Thankfully, I had an awakening just in time, which led to the completely transformed me of today! Get lost, you sc*mbag! The mere sight you makes me sick! Oh, right, only good–looking guys get to be called sc*mbags Someone like you would at most be called a creep!” Raylee retorted sarcastically.
Halston slapped his thigh while laughing in amusement. “Hahaha… Hey, ex–fiancé, you’d better hurry to the plastic surgery clinic to get that wound on your face checked out. Don’t delay it and end up ruining your looks! Otherwise, from now on, you won’t be called ‘Mr. Sutherland,‘ but rather just a creep!”
Casimir stood there, feeling awkward and utterly ashamed.
He winced in pain as he touched the wound on his face.
The wound seemed quite deep, so he was worried that would actually leave his face disfigured.

“Here; let me apply some ointment to your face, Casinr!” Waverly just had to step right into the line of fire at that particular moment.
Casimir shot her a glare. Unable to hold himself back, complained, “Why did you have to fight with Tiffany? Couldn’t you have been a bit gentler? And you didn’t even look properly before you scratched at her! How am I supposed to face anyone after you’ve scratched up my face like this?”
Waverly instantly teared up from being scolded. “You’re my fiancé! How could I possibly have no reaction when she kissed you publicly? I’m sorry, Casimir. How bout I get you a face mask?”
“Have you ever seen anyone attend a banquet wearing a face mask?”
After giving her a stern glance, Casimir returned to the lounge to inspect the injury on his face.
Somehow, news of the incident found its way to Margaret.
Worried, she immediately gave Casimir a call and even intended to check on him at the banquet.
“Mom, please don’t complicate things any further. I probably won’t stay for long anyway,” Casimir said impatiently.
Margaret grew even more dissatisfied with Waverly.
““That girl has no sense of manners, a country bumpkin! Why did she have to get into a fight? Couldn’t she have just turned a blind eye? Forget it; I don’t feel like discussing her. Speaking of which, Tiffany has had feelings for you since childhood. It would be wonderful if you two could end up together. After all, she is the daughter of the Lorimer family, born to the rightful wife. A lady of such stature is truly worthy of you.7
Casimir wore an expression of utter distaste.
Upon recalling Tiffany’s unreasonable behavior and tomboyish appearance, he decided that Waverly was the better option.
Raylee is still the best, though…
At that moment, she was the only woman who could stir his heart.
Upon hearing of Sebastian’s arrival, Margaret quickly inquired, “Word has it that Raylee looked stunning tonight. Even Mr. Foucault from the Malk royal family was taken by her charm, wasn’t he?”
