Chapter 106 Triggering Waverly
“Simply because he is from the Lorimer family, you let your vanity get the best of you? Dreaming of going from rags to riches, are you? Let me warn you, if you continue to be stubborn and refuse to see reason, you’ll have to bear the consequences!”
Confronted with Samuel’s baseless accusations, Raylee simply rolled her eyes, not even bothered to waste her breath arguing
with him.
People who are foolish and immature aren’t worth my time.
She turned her gaze towards Casimir and asked, “I don’t want to go abroad to an unfamiliar place, is there an alternative?”
Casimir shook his head, “I haven’t thought about any other plans for now. But, feel free to share your thoughts. We can discuss it together.”
“I actually do have a plan,” she said. “It’s for you to break off with Waverly and then marry me”
Raylee stared intently at Casimir, a teasing smirk playing on her lips. Her dimples were deeply etched, giving off a captivating and adorable charm.
Casimir’s gaze turned fervent as he locked a pensive gaze with her. His dark eyes revealed a touch of surprise.
“Are you serious!”
“Why shouldn’t I be?” Raylee glanced toward the door, her voice laced with affection. “Don’t you like me? Then why not just marry me? Once I become the lady of the Sutherland family, Jeremiah would not dare mess with me anymore. The Sutherland family will then be my sanctuary.”
Casimir’s gaze grew complex. He remained silent for just a few seconds, then, as if spellbound, he agreed, saying, “This idea might just work!”
“Both of you, shut up!” Samuel’s temper flared upon hearing their conversation. His anger surged uncontrollably.
“Raylee, are you really trying to steal Waverly’s man right in front of me? Do you think I’m invisible? And you, Casimir, you actually agreed? How dare you? Are you out of your mind? Both of you are crazy!”
However, Casimir furrowed his brows, retorting, “No matter who I marry, you’re still my brother–in–law. That’s a fact, so why are you kicking up a fuss?”
“Boohoo…
At that moment, a piercing cry disrupted the conversation within the ward.
The two men turned around, only to see Waverly standing at the ward entrance, crying her heart out.
“D“mn it, you guys just had to run your mouths; now look what has happened!”
With an air of annoyance, Samuel rushed toward Waverly, his heart filled with concem.
Casimir’s expression grew complex. He wasn’t sure how long Waverly had been standing there, but he knew she must have heard the conversation earlier.
Only Raylee maintained a calm demeanor.
Indeed, it was only after she saw Waverly arriving that she deliberately suggested Casimir marry her.
All she wanted was to make life difficult for the pretentious Waverly.
Heartbroken, Waverly covered her mouth as she cried, running away in distress.
Samuel immediately went after her.
Inside the ward, only Casimir and Raylee were left. The atmosphere instantly became awkward.

“Mr. Sutherland, aren’t you going after your fiancee? Are you really thinking of breaking off your engagement to marry me?”
“I need you to be honest with me,” Casimir demanded despite knowing the answer already. “Did you truly mean what you said just now?*
“What do you think?” Raylee asked, her gaze sweeping over him with a hint of contempt. A faint smirk curled up at the corner of her lips
“Do I have a place in your heart or not?” Casimir asked indignantly.
Raylee answered nonchalantly. “Stop asking the obvious. You know very well that I have to marry into the Lorimer family Don’t try to steal the crazy Jeremiahs woman. You might just get yourself into trouble?”
Casimir clenched his teeth, his heart filled with both anger and frustration.
“Are you really set on marrying him! Are you certain you don’t want my protection and are willing to march toward your own doom! Fine. I’ll grant your wish!”
Swept up in a wave of anger, Casimir let out a forceful snort, then turned and left without looking back.
The following day, Raylee was discharged from the hospital
She hadnt seen Vera for a week and she missed the latter terribly.
Fortunately, members of the Goodridge family were honorable and did not reveal the fact that she had been kidnapped and brought by Jeremiah to East Aploth.
After having lunch with her grandmother, Raylee was just about to return to her room for a rest when the Goodridge family’s housekeeper hurried over.
“Ms. Raylee, something terrible has happened! Ms. Waverly has attempted suicide by dashing her wrist her condition is critical. Mr. and Mrs. Goodridge urgently request your presence.”
Raylee furrowed her brows. “If it’s a suicide, just send her to the psychiatric hospital. What do they need me for!”
The housekeeper anxiously explained. The suicide was related to you. Mr. Sutherland has also arrived. Would you please come over!”
Initially, Raylee refused, but after a moment of hesitation, she eventually agreed
Waverlys suicide attempt was likely due to the distress caused by what she said in the ward the day before.
If anything were to happen to that “little princess,” she wouldn’t be able to escape the consequences.
Soon, she arrived at the Goodridge residence
