Jealousy gnawed at her relentlessly, yet she had no choice but to bear it. She was forced to feign magnanimity, even plaster on a smile.
“Caz, you really do treat Raylee very well. Once she becomes part of the Lorimer family, and with you to support her too, I’m certain no one would dare to mistreat her.”

Raylee limped her way to the hospital. She had to register herself and fill out the forms, managing every task on her own. Every step she took was a painful ordeal, making her break out in a cold sweat.
“In less than half an hour, Percival arrived. At that time, Raylee was in the orthopedic clinic receiving treatment.
Percival greeted the doctor in the consultation room before accepting the medicine.
“Dr. Shapiro, how are you related to this young lady?” the doctor in the consultation room asked with a hint of curiosity.
Percival, a figure of considerable renown, was regarded as a paragon within the medical community.
As the youngest internationally acclaimed medical professor and expert, he was perpetually in high demand.
He was also quite renowned in Jexburgh as an exclusive doctor for the wealthy.
Yet now, he had personally come to a small private hospital to treat a woman. How formidable must her background be!
Yet, Raylee appeared remarkably ordinary.
“A friend.” Percival didn’t elaborate. Instead, he turned his gaze toward Raylee.
“Hello, Ms. Goodridge. I’m Percival Shapiro, Mr. Sutherland sent me to treat your foot injury.”
With a poker face, Raylee responded to him, “No need, you may leave now.”
“It’s not like this is the first time we’ve met. We’re practically friends. You can trust me completely with your foot.”
It was evident that Percival was making a concerted effort to get closer to her.

Realizing that something was off. Percival was quick to give chase.
At the back–entrance of the hospital, he saw Raylee being forcefully shoved into a white car by the group.
The stark white vehicle bore the conspicuous inscription: Qutbridge Psychiatric Hospital.

“A psychiatric hospital! They’re from a psychiatric hospital?” Percival was greatly alarmed. He immediately dialed Casimir’s number, but there was no answer on the other end.
His anxiety skyrocketed.
As a doctor, he understood what it meant for someone to be suddenly committed to a psychiatric hospital!
Not to mention the various terrifying methods used to treat patients inside.
For the patients there, it was truly a case of shouting into the void for help.
Moreover, only the person who committed the patient to the psychiatric hospital had the right to get them out of it!
Who exactly was so ruthless as to want to commit Raylee there!
Without much time to think, Percival immediately drove all.
After Raylee was forcibly dragged into the car, her hands and feet were bound. She was completely immobilized.
