Casimir understood how it felt to plunge from heaven to hell
He had thought that Raylee had changed her mind, but instead, her rejection was decisive.
His emotions were tumultuous, and a sense of frustration welled up in him. His next words were uttered out of sheer exasperation.

She approached Shanice and helped her up.
Waverly, however, was one step ahead of her. She chided Raylee indiscriminately, “Shanice, are you alright? Why did you push her? Shanice’s already having a hard time, why would you bully her like this?”

While Raylee was stewing in frustration, she saw Shanice suddenly stand up and dash toward Jeremiah like a madwoman.
The group was only half a meter away from the edge of the cliff.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Shanice stepped onto the loose soil at the edge of the cliff. Her body teetered, on the verge of falling off the precipice. Sensing her imminent fall, she let out a terrified scream, “Help!”
At that crucial moment. Shanice clutched onto Waverly’s clothes.
In her panic, Waverly didn’t think about rescuing anyone. Instead, she quickly pried off Shanice’s hands and hurried away from the edge of the cliff.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Raylee, who was the closest, rushed forward immediately.
Just as Shanice was on the brink of falling off, a hand reached out and grasped her wrist,
However, the act did not spare them from the Grim Reaper’s grasp.
Raylee’s frail frame simply couldn’t pull the slightly plump Shanice back.
Both of them fell off the cliff together.

By the time the few men on the mountainside had registered what was happening, Raylee and Shanice had already tumbled down, their desperate cries for help echoing through the air.
An indeterminate amount of time had passed before Raylee regained consciousness.
She realized she had ended up in a large tree.
Branches had pierced through several parts of her skin, sending waves of searing pain.
Thankfully though, she could move her limbs.
She immediately breathed a sigh of relief, realizing she must not have injured any vital areas. Otherwise, she would’ve been paralyzed or even dead from such a high fall.
