Chapter 82 Of Kind Enemies And Fake Friends
When Raylee looked down, she was relieved to see Shanice right under the large tree.
She lay still with her eyes closed tight, her mouth opening and closing slightly. It seemed as if she was consciously trying to call for help, yet she couldn’t make a sound.
Raylee knew she couldn’t afford to waste time. Despite the searing pain, she forced herself to slowly crawl toward the base of
the tree.
The tree was tall, and her injuries were far from light. Any ordinary person would have undoubtedly succumbed to such
chemstances,
For Raylee, who had endures four years of torment in prison, was there anything else that could possibly bring her down?
These injuries were a piece of cake compared to those she endured in prison.
About ten minutes later, Raylee successfully reached the ground.
She mmediately walked over to Shanice, patting her face lightly, “Wake up. You need to wake up.”
Shanice did not stir, and Raylee had no choice but to stop Shanice’s bleeding first.
Shanice must have broken her leg. A stone also pierced the skin near her elbow, so it’s bleeding non–stop.
Just as Raylee was about to tear off the sun–protective clothing from Shanice to stop the bleeding, Shanice suddenly woke up. shrieking in alarm, “What are you doing?”
I’ll stop your bleeding, Raylee said instantly. She tore a piece of cloth with all her strength and tied it around the bleeding
area on Shanice’s am.
Shanice hissed in pain, hier temper flaring. “It hurts so much! Are you trying to kill me or what?”
Kaylee furrowed her brows, retorting, “Pain? That’s nothing. We fell off a cliff, remember? We’re lucky to be alive.”
She continued. “And here you are, accusing me of wanting to harm you. It’s like a dog biting the hand that feeds it!”
“You think you’re a good person? Give me a break! Just stay away from me,” Shanice said scoffingly.
“Your wound is bleeding non–stop,” warned Raylee. “If we don’t stop it soon, you’ll bleed out.”
You needn’t concern yourself even if it runs dry!” Shanice spat.
Kaylee simply couldn’t be bothered to argue with Shanice about who was right on wrong anymore.
After spending four years in prison, she had long since smoothed out her patience. Even the smallest issues couldn’t provoke

After that, Rayler was solely focused on curbing Shanice’s bleeding.
Though she wasn’t medically trained, her four years in prison had made her adept at stanching bleeding.
By the time the bleeding had stopped, Shanice’s face was pale from the pain. She was glaring at Raylee with a look thut could kill

“We aren’t mortal enemies, are we?” Kaylee asked helplessly. “Even though we keep crossing paths as it tated by some cosmic joke, have you ever stopped to think if we really did anything horrendous to each other? It’s simply because I used to be as list–headed as you Cur personalities clashed, so we seemed utterly incompatible
After some thought, Susan found herself agreeing with Raylee’s words.

Raylee added, “At the edge of the chill, you grabbed onto Waverly, but she pushed you away! I rushed over to catch you, but 1 shadn’t have the strength to hold on to you. I ended up falling with you!”
These words left Shanice’s already pale face frozen in shock.
She instinctively denied it. “You’re lying! Wavy and I are such good friends, how could she not save me? No, it can’t be, it can’t

The more Shanice thought about it, the angrier she became, and the more she found herself despising Waverly.
Pain and anger consumed her entire being, making even the act of breathing feel exhausting.
Wilt her face shrouded in intense loathing. Shanice said through gritted teeth. “Why? I treated her like a close sister, why
would she do this to me?”
“Remember now?” Raylee let out a sigh of relief. Finally, her good deeds hadn’t been in vain this time.
She let out another scoff before saying. “This is what you call a fake friend, one that can’t withstand hardships, especially in life–and–deaths situations. What makes you think a selfish person would risk their life for you?”
“Why did you save me then? What’s your agenda?” Shanice’s angry gaze shifted back to Raylee.
“I saved you out of my own conscience. It proves that I am inherently a kind person,” said Raylee.
Stop painting yourself as a saint. You? Kind? That’s the joke of the century!”
Fine. I’m not kind. I’m not a good person, I should just leave, right?“With great difficulty, Raylee got up.
When she saw the varjous scratches and wounds across Rayler’s face, neck, yud exposed skin, Shanice was reminded then that Rayler had also fallen off the cliff with her..
