The three of them took turns, each word harsher than the last, hurling insult after insult at me.
Mira’s expression darkened as she listened. “You three have some nerve. My mother gave you everything, dedicating decades to you, and instead of being grateful, you bully and slander her? Do you think everyone is as despicable as you?!”
Mira’s anger flared, and Damon snapped back, “Grateful to her? Does she deserve it? What’s the point of a woman hoarding so much wealth? If she had just handed it all over to me, none of this would have happened!”
