His mind went blank. His ears rang. Samuel cradled his chest.
Martha had been fiercely in love once, and when she saw how Samuel acted, the thought in her mind came spilling out of her mouth. “Are you trying to look for Joy because you suddenly found that you like her?”
Did he like Joy?

In the past, he would definitely deny it. However, he remembered the panic he had in his mind when he did not see her during the wedding or at home. He remembered how he had wanted to immediately look for her, the love he had buried in the depths of his heart long ago woke up like a sleeping giant.
Martha finally got the answer she sought for when she saw Samuel’s reaction, and she slapped him again.
“She’s your sister! Have you no shame?!”
He once said those things three years ago, and Martha had thrown them right back at him three years later. His head was flung to the side, and sadness grew in him.
Finally, he knew just how hurtful those words were.
It was just love and a crush. Joy had not actually told him anything before he found her diary, and she was declared a shameful person.
Martha trembled with rage. “Even if you like her, it’s pointless! Joy has already left to be with her biological parents! She won’t come back anymore!”
Samuel whipped his head around to look at Martha.
Has Joy found her biological parents?
She even left for them and would not come back anymore!

Why did she hide it from him?
Martha scoffed. Over the past three years, she had watched as the siblings, who were originally close, grew estranged, and she knew that something had happened between them.
