Not long ago, Yelena had been Samuel’s wife and the subject of envy. Everyone fawned over her. But overnight, she fell from her pedestal and became the subject of ridicule.
Everyone avoided her like the plague.
She kicked up a fuss and had felt indignant about her whole situation. She had even thought about blackmailing them all with the baby, but the nannies Martha sent over did not care.
If she threw a tantrum, the nannies tied her to the bed.
If she refused to eat, the nannies forced her mouth open and force–fed her.
They even mocked her while they did it.
“I suggest you give up. If it were not for your baby, the Foster family would not even care about you.”
Yelena then remembered that she was indeed pregnant, and she calmed down.
After all, she no longer had anything else, and the baby was her only pillar of strength. She had to give birth to the baby.
She no longer resisted and finished the remaining food.
