Olivia answered the reporter’s questions tactfully and skillfully, without committing to anything specific. King gave her a nod of approval.

It was widely acknowledged that underestimating Olivia would be a mistake!

After the event, Benjamin and Olivia tallied the gifts outside, feeling a sense of obligation to reciprocate the generosity.
“Ms. Olivia, come take a look at this,” Benjamin called out, interrupting their counting.
“What’s the matter?” Olivia asked, curious about Benjamin’s sudden urgency.
Without a word, Benjamin gestured toward a particular banner.
To Olivia’s surprise, it bore the signature of the Carter Group!
“How is this possible… the Carter Group?” Olivia exclaimed, turning to Benjamin with disbelief.
Equally puzzled, Benjamin replied, “I’m not sure. With so many gifts arriving, I didn’t pay much attention… I’ll double–check later and arrange for a return gift. As for you, it’s best not to get involved for now.”
Benjamin hesitated, uncertain about Nathan’s intentions in sending the banner and preferring to keep Olivia at a distance from any potential complications.
Unaware of Benjamin’s concerns, Olivia was lost in thought.
She mulled over Nathan’s motives, trying to make sense of the situation.

call.
Olivia dialed Nathan’s number directly.
Amid his absorption in a financial news report, Nathan’s attention was momentarily diverted to the television screen, where a poised young woman exuded confidence and style.
As his phone rang, Nathan glanced at the caller ID, raising an eyebrow in curiosity before answering the call.
Olivia initiated the conversation, stating, “It’s me!”
Nathan’s response was characteristically terse, his voice maintaining its low and chilly tone. “You need anything?”
Olivia’s heart skipped a beat despite mentally preparing herself. His voice always had that effect on her.
She paused briefly before continuing, her tone more assertive now, “I’m grateful for the banner, and I’d like to thank Mr. Carter for it. However, I have a question. Since there is no significant relationship between Horizon Ventures and the Carter family, I am curious as to why you decided to send us the banner. Was there a hidden agenda or some ulterior motive behind it?”
Her inquiry was direct, leaving no room for ambiguity.
