Subconsciously, Olivia leaned into Nathan.
He was taken aback, thinking she had awakened.

Glancing down, he realized she had merely found a comfortable position and continued to sleep, oblivious to what was going on.
Observing her unguarded expression, Nathan gritted his teeth. Olivia is still as carefree as ever.
For a moment, he was unsure whether to feel happy about her letting her guard down around him or to be
angry.
A silent sigh slipped from his lips as Nathan carried Olivia into the room. Gently, he laid her on the bed and pulled the covers over her.
She really was in a deep sleep.
During the day, there was a ribbon–cutting ceremony at the company that kept her busy. At night, she also took care of him. Even the most resilient body wouldn’t be able to withstand such a demanding schedule.
Nathan gently brushed away the stray strands of hair on her cheek, his eyes unknowingly filled with sympathy and warmth.
The next morning, sunlight seeped through the curtain gaps into the room. Olivia stretched languidly before sitting up.
Just awakened, her eyes held a hint of confusion. As she took in her surroundings, clarity suddenly dawned on her.
Why am I in the room?
Immediately, Olivia pulled back the covers to check, and upon seeing her clothes intact, she let out a long sigh of relief.
Fortunately, nothing happened.
She got out of bed and ventured outside, but she didn’t see any sign of Nathan.
She furrowed her delicate brows. Has he… left?
In the next moment, a smile blossomed on her lips. Luckily, he left earlier. Otherwise, it would have been incredibly awkward.
The thought of having shared a room with Nathan the previous night seemed utterly unbelievable to Olivia.
She had once believed that she would never be involved with Nathan again, but things didn’t go as planned.
At that moment, there was a knock at the door.
It was a hotel attendant.
“Ms. Monroe, this is the breakfast that Mr. Carter specifically instructed to be prepared for you.”

A black sedan was parked at the hotel entrance. Nathan sat inside, his eyes subtly twinkling as he saw Olivia emerging from the hotel,
It was only after watching her drive away that he finally spoke. His deep voice echoed in the car. “Head back to the office.”
“Yes, Mr. Carter.”
Ethan started the car and drove away from the hotel.
Meanwhile, at Patel Group, as soon as Emma entered the office early in the morning, her assistant, Fabian Leedon, hurriedly approached.
“Ms. Patel, about Mr. Carter last night…”
Upon hearing Nathan being mentioned, Emma slightly furrowed her brows, turning her head to look at Fabian. Seeing his hesitant expression, a sense of unease began to stir within her.
“What happened to Mr. Carter last night?” she questioned.
Fabian lowered his head, responding, “Last night, Mr. Carter and O… Olivia spent the night at Regalis Hotel.”

The cup in Emma’s hand fell to the floor. Her face, delicately made up, was filled with disbelief.
During this period, she had someone keep an eye on Nathan, worried about any potential involvement he might have with the despicable Olivia.
The thing she feared most had indeed come to pass.
Gritting her teeth, Emma clenched her fists and asked, “Fabian, are you certain this is true?”
“Ms. Patel, it’s indeed true. Moreover, at Horizon Ventures ribbon–cutting ceremony yesterday, Mr. Carter even sent a congratulatory banner.”
Upon hearing this, Emma let out a laugh, her expression somewhat grim. “A banner? He actually had the audacity to send that despicable woman one?” she scoffed.
Emma was so infuriated that her whole body was shaking. Her usually pretty face was now grimacing in anger, making her look terrifying.
A few days ago, after Nathan unilaterally called off their engagement, she hadn’t been able to see him since.
