Emily immediately breathed a sigh of relief and smiled again. “Nate, I’m doing this for Carter Group’s sake. You must understand me.”
Nathan simply nodded, not saying anything further.
When Emily left Carter Group, Emma, who had been waiting outside, immediately approached her. She asked eagerly, “Mrs. Carter, how did it go? What did Nate say?”
Emily sighed, gently patted Emma’s hand, and said, “Emma, you know how stubborn Nate is; once he makes a decision, no one can change his mind.”
Upon hearing those words, Emma instantly became disheartened.
The next second, Emily added, “However, I still managed to secure an opportunity for you.”

Emily relayed to her the outcome of her discussion with Nathan, sparing no detail.
“Comparing the two companies?” To be honest, Emma found such an outcome disappointing.
She wished for Patel Group to directly secure the project rather than having to compete with Horizon
Ventures.
“That’s right. Therefore, you must give it your all. I have faith in you. You’ll definitely succeed.” After giving Emma a few words of encouragement, Emily left.
Emma stayed rooted to her spot, watching Emily’s car driving away with a gloomy expression. Unexpectedly, even Mrs. Carter can’t sway Nathan’s decision.
At the same time, Olivia received a call from Nathan.
“What did you say? We need to submit a system and compare it with another company before we can confirm the collaboration and sign the contract?” Olivia thought she had misheard.

“This Friday.”
Olivia slightly furrowed her brows. The deadline was tight, but she had unwavering faith in her team’s ability to meet it.
And so, she agreed to it.
After hanging up the phone, she immediately asked Benjamin to gather everyone.
At the meeting, after she explained the situation, she sternly ordered, “We must complete this task within three days.”
