In the following days, Olivia was swamped with her coding work, leaving her with no time to spend with William.
However, William didn’t mind because he had long grown accustomed to his mother’s busy schedule.
Moreover, that allowed him more time to chat with his father.
That evening, as soon as Nathan got home from work, he received a message from William. William wrote: Daddy, have you eaten?
Nathan couldn’t help but reveal a smile. He tossed his suit jacket aside and began typing on his phone: I’ve had my meal. What about you?
Receiving his father’s reply, William instantly grinned from ear to ear.
William: I’ve eaten too, and guess what? Mommy personally cooked.
Nathan chuckled. It sounds like he’s showing off.
After that, William sent a series of messages, chattering about how delicious the dinner was that night and how impressive Olivia’s cooking skills were.
William asked: Daddy, have you ever tried Mommy’s cooking?
That question reminded Nathan of the days when Olivia was still by his side five years ago.
How could he possibly have never tasted the dishes prepared by Olivia?
Still, Nathan texted: Not yet. I hope I’ll get the chance to try it.
William: In that case, you’ll have to work harder, Daddy!
After sending the message, William secretly took a photo of Olivia, who was sitting on the couch, and then sent it to Nathan.
When Nathan saw the photo, he was momentarily stunned. The next second, he promptly zoomed in on the image.
In the picture, Olivia was seated cross–legged on the couch, her lustrous hair casually pinned up. A laptop rested on her lap, her expression unusually focused. She exuded an air of competence, yet her aura at that instant wasn’t aloof and harsh.
Olivia’s beautiful features appeared gentle under the bright light, reminiscent of the obedient little girl she was from years past.
Nathan couldn’t help but be captivated, instinctively saving the photo.
Although Olivia was working, she would still occasionally check on William.
She noticed William had been silent for quite a while, so she looked up to find him sprawled on the couch, engrossed in his phone. Olivia frowned slightly, assuming he was playing games again.
Therefore, she said, “Liam, stop playing with your phone. It’s not good for your eyes.”

Nathan bade his son good night before exiting the WhatsApp application. Unconsciously, he opened his gallery and clicked on the picture of Olivia.
Consequently, he couldn’t help but continue to gaze at the picture until late into the night.
Meanwhile, Olivia was busy until late. By the time she finished her work, William had already been taken to bed by Tony.
As per usual, Olivia went to William’s room, made sure his blanket was properly tucked in, and gently kissed his forehead. She whispered to him, “Good night.”
Olivia wondered if William was having a particularly beautiful dream because he was grinning in his sleep.
Time flew by swiftly. Three days later, the preliminary plan for the system developed by Horizon Ventures was established.
Olivia had to personally submit it to Carter Group.
When the proposition of comparing two companies was put forth by Carter Group, she never inquired about the identity of the other company.
It was not until she was on her way to Carter Group that she casually asked, “Benjamin, which company are we competing against today?”
“Patel Group,” Benjamin replied.
“Patel Group?” Olivia was taken aback. I didn’t expect the other company to be Patel Group. What a small world.
