Originally, Olivia wanted to help distract King, but suddenly her phone rang.

As soon as she picked up, Tony’s anxious voice came through from the other side. “Ms. Olivia, Liam seems to have a bit of a fever.
Liam’s sick? Olivia’s expression shifted. She turned her head and whispered something to Catherine. “Catherine, Liam has come down with a fever. I’m afraid I won’t be able to accompany you to the research institute.”
Upon hearing that, Catherine hastily responded, “No worries. We have enough help here. You should go back first. Liam is more important.”
Olivia glanced at King, who was on the bed, and let out a sigh. “I appreciate your efforts.”
Catherine shook her head, indicating that she was fine.
Subsequently, Olivia turned around and faced Harry with a serious demeanor. She bent slightly in a respectful gesture and said, “Dr. Anderson, I’m counting on you.”
Upon seeing the situation, Harry chuckled. “Don’t worry, if I’ve promised you something, I will surely deliver.”
“Thank you,” Olivia responded with a smile.
Suddenly, an image of a person flashed through his mind.
She bit her lip, hesitating for a few seconds before she finally mustered the courage to ask, “May I have your contact information?”
“Of course.” Harry agreed very readily.
Olivia was somewhat taken aback, but she didn’t dwell on it much. After obtaining the contact details, she left in a hurry.
By the time she got home, Benjamin had already returned.
He appeared unscathed, evidently having managed to retreat without a scratch.
“How’s Liam been doing?” Olivia asked as she made her way upstairs.
Benjamin followed behind her, reporting truthfully, “Mr. Valtor has already applied external cooling methods to reduce his fever, as well as administered fever–reducing medication, but the fever has not subsided yet.”
Olivia paused, her delicate brows furrowing. She hadn’t expected Liam’s fever to be that severe.
Then, her pace involuntarily quickened.
As soon as she entered the children’s room, she almost ran to the side of the bed. She reached out and touched Liam’s forehead, her pupils constricting in worry.

After all, the boy’s cheeks were flushed with a feverish heat, his breathing somewhat labored.
“Ms. Olivia, I apologize for not taking better care of him,” Tony said, his face filled with guilt.
“When did it all start?” Olivia asked.

“Not long after you all left last night, he started complaining about feeling dizzy. Only after taking his temperature, we realized he had a fever.”
Upon saying that, Tony looked at Liam with a heart full of distress and continued, “He is very well–behaved, not making a fuss. I gave him the fever medicine, but the fever just wouldn’t go down. That’s when I decided to call you.”
Upon hearing Tony’s words, Olivia felt both heartache and guilt.
Over the past few days, she had been preoccupied with completing the system required by Carter Group, inadvertently neglecting the boy. However, when the little one fell ill that night, she was not by his side.
She quickly picked up the child and hurriedly headed outside, instructing Benjamin as she walked. “You go downstairs first and start the car. We’re going to the hospital.”
Benjamin hurriedly ran downstairs.
Tony followed behind her. Olivia turned to glance at him, saying, “Mr. Valtor, it’s quite late. You shouldn’t trouble yourself at this hour. Just stay at home.”
Tony knew he wouldn’t be of much help if he tagged along, so he nodded. “All right, be careful on your journey.”
Olivia nodded slightly, cradling Liam as she stepped out the door.
