As soon as the call connected, Liam immediately asked a series of questions.
On the other end of the phone, Nathan couldn’t help but chuckle, softly responding, “I’m free.”
“Awesome!” Liam cheered out loud.

“Are you feeling better now?” Nathan asked again.
“I’m fine now.” Liam pouted, wanting to say that it wasn’t good anymore because of his father’s scandalous rumors.
“Then I’ll pick you up after work.”
The smile on Liam’s face faded away after he hung up the phone. His smile was replaced with a seriousness that didn’t match his age. When I see Daddy tonight, I must clear things up with him. How could Daddy, being such a flirt. ever reconcile with Mommy?
