Chapter 153 Intentions He Harbored
Later on, Liam had his fill of fun and eventually ran out of game tokens.
Still, he felt somewhat unsatisfied.
“Mommy.” He looked at Olivia, who saw right through her son’s thoughts with just one glance.
She put on a stern face and said solemnly, “That’s enough playing for today.”
Finished
“Okay.” Liam felt slightly downcast but quickly perked up and said to Nathan, “Daddy, I had a lot of fun tonight.”
He wasn’t happy because of the games. Rather, it was the presence of his father and mother by his side that made him feel happiest that night.
Nathan was also in a good mood. He reached out and gently patted Liam’s head, his voice soft as he said, “I’m happy too.”
After leaving the arcade, Nathan sent Olivia and Liam back home.
Upon arriving at their destination, Liam didn’t want to get out of the car. With a downcast face, he mumbled, “I don’t want to be separated from Daddy.”
Olivia and Nathan both heard their son’s murmur amidst the silence in the car.
Olivia furrowed her brows. “Liam, you’ve been playing all night.”
She was implying for Liam not to push his luck.
Liam bit his lip and fell silent.
Nathan exited the car and carried Liam out. He looked at the latter tenderly and said, “Liam, be a good boy and go home with your mommy. I’ll make more time to accompany you in the future.”
“Really?” Liam asked.
Nathan gave a slight smile. “Yes. For real.”
Liam finally broke into a smile. He planted a deep kiss on Nathan before saying, “I’ll wait for your calls, then.”
Olivia led Liam into the residential area.
Nathan stood rooted to his spot and watched their retreating figures for a long time. The sight inexplicably lifted his spirits.
The following day, Olivia dropped Liam off at the kindergarten early in the morning before heading over to the research institute.
When she arrived at the ward, King was already there, seated at the head of the bed, engrossed in his laptop.
She briskly walked over to him and swiftly closed his laptop. “You’re in this state, yet you’re not resting properly?”

much better now.”
“You’re much better now?” Olivia furrowed her brows
His spirit indeed seemed fairly robust, but his complexion remained quite pale, a stark contrast to his claim of “much better”
She moved her laptop aside, sighed, and asked with concern, “Do you really feel much better? Do you feel any discomfort?”
“I’m feeling fine,” King said with a gentle smile. “How have you been lately?”
“I’m fine, too.”
After Olivia finished speaking, the two shared a glance and chuckled.
At that moment, Harry entered the room. Upon catching sight of Olivia, he blinked, momentarily doubting his own eyes.
After confirming he wasn’t mistaken, he exclaimed with immense joy, “Pretty lady, you’ve finally decided to
come see me,”
Olivia nodded. “Yes. Thank you for taking care of King.”
If it weren’t for Harry, King wouldn’t be sitting there, talking to her at that moment.
Upon hearing that, Harry responded nonchalantly, “Since I’ve promised you, I’ll definitely follow through. I am still waiting for you to treat me to a meal.”
“A meal?” King furrowed his brows.
Olivia glanced back at King and chirped, “That’s right. He wanted me to treat him to a meal.”
King narrowed his eyes and said indifferently, “Dr. Anderson, if anyone should be treating you to a meal, it should be me. I can’t possibly let her do it.”
Having spent a couple of days with Harry, King had a relatively good grasp of Harry’s flippant nature.
Pretty lady? Just a moment ago, when Harry had addressed Olivia in such a manner, King felt slightly displeased upon hearing that.
Therefore, he didn’t want Olivia to be alone with Harry. Who knows what kind of intentions this Harry harbors?
