Olivia stared at her phone, feeling a bit perplexed.
However, she decided to wait since he had asked her to.
Roughly half an hour had passed when suddenly, the sound of a car horn echoed from outside.
Olivia lifted her gaze, spotting a familiar car making its way toward her.

The car came to a halt before her, and the window descended smoothly, unveiling his striking visage.
“Get in. I’ll take you there,” he said.
“But my car…” Olivia hesitated.
Before Nathan arrived, he had already figured out what to do. He instructed his driver to get out of the car and said, “Take Ms. Monroe’s car back to Horizon Ventures.”
“Understood,” the driver said before getting out of the car.
Olivia had no choice but to get out of her car and sit in Nathan’s vehicle.
She was going to sit in the back seat, but as soon as she opened the car door, she heard Nathan’s cool voice saying, “I’m not a driver.”
It took her a moment to process what he had said and then she reluctantly closed the car door and settled herself into the passenger seat.
Throughout the journey, the car was filled with silence. Olivia turned her head, watching as the street scenes outside the window flashed by.
Nathan cast a sidelong glance at her, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
Olivia knew the tech park project was of great significance, but when she personally arrived at the site, she was still taken aback.
She hadn’t anticipated that the tech park would be so expansive, and it was already well–developed. Particularly, the core base located in the deepest part of the park was impressive.
Inside the base was the main control room, which managed the system of the main park. It was filled with various high–end equipment, some of which she had never even seen before.
She was like a child, her eyes filled with wonder, and she even started to talk more.
“Why did you consider building this kind of tech park?” she asked.
Nathan glanced around and said, “Carter Group has been dedicated to the research and development of high–tech systems over the past few years. This park will be divided into several zones in the future.”
“Several zones?” Olivia looked at him, puzzled.

“Yeah, a portion will be used for commercial purposes, while the rest will be the future core development of Carter Group.”
At this point, he let his gaze settle on her face before he continued, “It’s just that the pre–existing technology isn’t as advanced as Horizon Ventures.”
Upon understanding, Olivia chuckled and said, “Indeed, Horizon Ventures‘ technology is impressive, but I have faith that Carter Group is not far behind.”
A faint glimmer flickered in Nathan’s eyes. Is she trying to comfort me, or is she encouraging me?
After touring the main control room, Olivia felt it was necessary to gain a better understanding of the park.
“Mr. Carter, would you show me around?”
“Sure.”
The two of them looked around while strolling. They spent the better part of the day like this, and by the time noon rolled around, they hadn’t even managed to tour half of the park.
Nathan cast his gaze downward, his eyes falling on Olivia’s feet clad in high heels. His eyebrows furrowed in concern as he asked, “Are you tired?”
Olivia turned her head to look at him, let out a soft chuckle, and said, “I’m not tired. When I first arrived at Horizon Ventures, I used to run several projects in a day. I’m already used to it.”
She spoke with an air of nonchalance, but Nathan knew that her past few years had been anything but easy.
His eyes, when they met hers, carried a subtle undertone of sorrow.
“It’s noon. Shall we grab lunch around here?”
Olivia didn’t reject the idea. She nodded slightly and said, “Sure.”
In reality, as she strolled through the park, she was keenly observing every nook and cranny, her mind constantly churning with ideas for system improvements.
She planned to use her lunch break to thoroughly contemplate how to further improve the system.
