As soon as Nathan appeared, he became the center of everyone’s attention. Naturally, Emily also noticed Olivia, who was following behind him.
Her expression instantly darkened. Despite my countless efforts, I still failed to prevent Olivia from getting close to Nate!
However, due to the huge number of guests, she could only wait for Nathan to come over. In a hushed tone, she chastised, “With so many guests around, how could you just leave like that?”
She glanced around before continuing. “This is a project in collaboration with Patel Group after all. Why didn’t you bring Emma along to greet the clients?”
Barely paying attention, Nathan listened with an indifferent expression. His gaze casually swept over the crowd, searching for that familiar figure.
It wasn’t until he caught sight of her that his gaze locked onto Olivia.
The sole reason Olivia attended this cocktail party was to discuss a partnership with Eric from Sphaera Group.
Hence, as soon as she stepped into the banquet hall, she swiftly spotted Eric amidst the sea of guests.
Eric had arrived with his wife. Both of them were engaged in conversation with others, their faces adorned with smiles. It seemed they were enjoying themselves.
She made her way over slowly, a subtle, appropriate smile gracing her lips. She then greeted them politely, “Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Bovril.”
Upon seeing her, Eric and his wife were taken aback.
“Who would have thought I’d run into Ms. Monroe here, it must be destiny,” Eric’s wife, Sarah Denning, said with a friendly smile.
Olivia chuckled softly. “It’s indeed destiny.”
Ever since their last encounter, Eric and his wife had formed a rather favorable impression of her. Despite her being younger, they didn’t put on airs when speaking with her.
“Ms. Monroe, I must apologize,” said Eric with a look of regret. “We’ve been incredibly busy recently and the collaboration between our two companies has been continuously delayed.”
Though Olivia had come specifically for this matter, she didn’t show a hint of it. Instead, she calmly stated, “It’s alright, Mr.
Bovril.”
She glanced at Eric and his wife, then continued speaking. “But it’s a good thing we met. I happen to have brought the security system your company previously requested. If you’re open to it, we could have a chat.”
“Um…” Eric furrowed his brow, clearly in a dilemma.
In reality, he didn’t quite understand all these high–tech systems and such. As for the system that Sphaera Group wanted, it was merely a small collaborative project for a subsidiary company.
With a smile, Olivia said, “Of course, if it’s not convenient, we can arrange another time to discuss it once we’re back, Mr. Bovril.”
After some thought, Mr. Bovril waved his hand and said, “That’s not necessary. Let’s just discuss it here.”
Seeing him agree, Olivia was overjoyed. She quickly pulled out her phone, opened the backup system, and began to explain the situation to him in detail.
Though Eric didn’t fully understand, he gained some insight into the system after listening to her meticulous explanation.
Both parties thoroughly enjoyed their conversation.
At that moment, Emily, accompanied by Emma and Nathan, walked over.

“Mr. Bovril, thank you for attending the cocktail party today.” Emily walked straight up to Eric and his wife, greeting them with a vibrant smile.
She didn’t even spare Olivia a glance, treating her as if she were invisible.
Eric and Emily had previously interacted in the business arena. Without hesitation, he extended his hand, responding with a jovial smile. “Mrs. Carter, there’s no need for such formality.”
Emily gently squeezed his hand, and with a smile, she said, “There are many guests tonight. Let me apologize in advance for any lapses in hospitality.”
“There’s no way I would find?” Eric shot her a glance of feigned annoyance.
In response, Emma also approached and greeted them, “Mr. and Mrs. Bovril, how are you?”
Eric shifted his gaze onto Emma, a slight frown creasing his brow. He did have some recollection of this young lady from the Patel family.
It all started at the banquet he hosted, where she publicly revealed that Olivia was actually a housekeeper of the Carter family.
With this in mind, Eric instinctively looked at Olivia.
The latter’s face was impassive, as if she didn’t really care about what Emma had done in the past.
A flash of admiration crossed Eric’s eyes. This young girl is remarkably composed for her age, showing no signs of stage fright. She truly is worthy of being the general manager of Horizon Ventures.
