Chapter 247 Worthy
Nathan was in a deep slumber, faintly aware of someone calling out to him.
“Daddy… Daddy…”
It was Liam calling out to him.
He slowly opened his eyes, and the sight of Liam’s delicate face filled his vision.
Upon seeing him awake, Liam immediately stopped crying and broke into a smile. “Daddy, you’re finally awake.”
Seeing the tears clung to Liam’s eyelashes, Nathan felt heartbroken and said, “Don’t cry. I’m okay.”
“Daddy, can we go to the hospital?” Liam wiped his tears, remembering the task that Ethan had entrusted to him.
On the way there, Ethan repeatedly urged Liam to persuade Nathan to go to the hospital.
Struggling, Nathan managed to sit up. Even such a simple action felt like it was going to cost him his life. He was panting heavily, his face as pale as a sheet.
Nathan took a deep breath, waiting until his breathing stabilized before he slowly said, “I’m really okay. As long as you’re with me, I’ll recover quickly.”
“Really?” Liam asked, somewhat in disbelief.
Nathan forced out a smile. “Really.”
“All right, then.” Liam obediently nodded. “I’ll stay here with you, Daddy.”
Next, he gently placed his hand on Nathan’s chest, his voice soft and childlike as he said, “Mr. Ethan said that your heart hurts here, Daddy. I’ll help you soothe it so that the pain will go away.”
After he finished speaking, he leaned in and blew gently, then lifted his small face and asked, “Daddy, does it hurt less now?”
Gazing at Liam’s innocent demeanor, Nathan surprisingly found his discomfort lessening.
Lifting his hand, he gently stroked Liam’s head, responding softly. “Mmm… I feel better now.”
Then,
Liam’s face lit up with joy when he heard that. He then quickly responded, “Then, I’ll help you more.”
Ethan watched the heartwarming scene before him, his anxious heart finally slowly returning to its original state.
It was unclear whether it was a mere illusion, but ever since Liam arrived, it seemed as if Nathan’s mood had somewhat improved.
Nathan didn’t ask why Olivia didn’t show up. He knew very well in his heart that she didn’t want to get too involved.
In fact, her act of allowing Liam to visit him was already the biggest concession she could make.
In the afternoon, Ethan received a call from his subordinate. “Mr. Thompson, we have news about Harry.”
“Really?” Ethan abruptly stood up, his body subtly trembling with excitement upon hearing this news.
“It’s true. Harry will be at Lavender Club tonight.”
Upon confirming the news, Ethan didn’t dare to slack off even the slightest. He quickly ordered, “We must have the person here tonight, no matter what

Meanwhile, Harry dialed Olivia’s number. As soon as the call connected, he said. “I’ve already released the news. If they’re slow to respond, don’t blame me!”
Harry had already promised her that he would save Nathan. but whether Nathan would value this opportunity was something only fate could decide.
Olivia was not worried that Nathan might not receive the message. She casually said. “Thank you very much.”
“No worries. I’m just not sure if this person is worth saving.”
Harry’s profound words fell into Olivia’s ears, and her delicate eyebrows furrowed slightly as she said. “It’s not about whether it’s worth it or not It’s just about repaying a favor.”
I hope you’ll be able to do so.” Harry, a man of intellect, could tell at a glance that her relationship with Nathan was not simple, yet he chose not to expose it.
“Whether the debt gets repaid has nothing to do with you. All you need to do is focus on treating the illness.”
Olivia didn’t want to engage in a lengthy conversation with him, so after exchanging a few more words, she ended the call.
She
pua down her phone, glancing at the time displayed in the bottom right corner of her computer screen. She pursed her lips, a hint of worry surfacing in her eyes that she herself hadn’t even noticed. I wonder how he’s doing..
