Olivia set her phone aside. She could easily picture how frustrated Harry must be since she ended the call so abruptly.
She couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle.
At that moment, the office door was pushed open from the outside.
Upon hearing the noise, Olivia looked up and was surprised to see King and Blair.
She quickly stood up, asking, “Why are you two here?”
King walked over, gazing at her with a gentle, faint smile on his face. He said, “I’m leaving with Blair.”
“Today?”
“Yes, with Blair,” King said, stepping aside to let Blair move forward.
“Hello, Olivia.” Blair extended his hand.
Olivia shook his hand and responded with a smile, “Mr. Blair, nice to meet you.”
“Once things settle down at headquarters, I’ll return to continue the treatment,” King said.
Olivia nodded. “All right. Take care on your journey, and don’t hesitate to call me if anything comes up.”
“Okay.” The look in King’s gaze turned increasingly profound as he added, “I’ll have to trouble you to handle the affairs here at the company.”
Upon hearing that, Olivia couldn’t help but laugh. “There’s no need to be so formal with me. Just go back and take care of things at headquarters. Don’t worry about the matters here.”
“That’s right, King. You should know about Olivia’s abilities,” Blair interjected with a chuckle.
King gave a resigned smile. “Of course, I’m aware of her capabilities. I’m just worried that she’s pushing herself too hard.”
After he finished speaking, he gazed deeply into Olivia’s eyes.
“Not at all.” She wore a gentle smile on her face that left King somewhat spellbound.
Blair’s voice pulled King back to his senses.
“How’s Liam?” Blair suddenly asked.
“Ah, he’s still his usual mischievous self, but he’s been behaving well in kindergarten.” The mention of Liam brought an even broader smile to Olivia’s face.
“He’s at that mischievous age. This visit has been rather rushed. I’ll make sure to visit him next time,” Blair said.
“You’re always welcome.”
Olivia and Blair exchanged a glance, sharing a mutual smile.
King looked at Olivia, his expression somewhat hesitant. Then, as if having summoned all his courage, he reached into his pocket, pulled out a box, and handed it to her.
Olivia was taken aback. “What’s this?”
“This is for you.” King lifted his chin slightly. “Go on, take it.”
“Oh.” Olivia quickly took it. She opened the box and realized the gift was a watch.

His words made Olivia feel rather bashful. “These are my obligations.”
“Keep the gift well. I’m leaving now.” King gently patted her head before he turned around and left.
Olivia was instantly dumbfounded. Did he just pat me on the head?
King’s movements were gentle, much like how Olivia would usually stroke Liam’s head.
King had never been that affectionate toward her before. As a result, his behavior stirred a peculiar feeling within her.
King and Blair entered the elevator, one after the other. Once the doors closed, Blair smiled and teased, “The intention behind your gift–giving sure is subtle.”
King cast a sidelong glance at Blair and merely smiled without uttering a word.
“Do you think she understands what that watch signifies?” Blair raised an eyebrow, his smile laden with profound implication. “That’s a watch given to someone’s beloved. Could you possibly be…”
