Chapter 267 Skipped A Beat
After the car had come to a halt, Olivia was still immersed in her astonishment.
She hadn’t expected to be able to converse so naturally with Nathan, as if they were old friends.
“Let’s go.” The sound that echoed by her car pulled her back to reality. She turned, meeting a pair of deep, dark eyes.
Her heart inadvertently skipped a heat
Quickly lowering her gaze, she hummed softly in response. She then unbuckled her seatbelt, swiftly opened the car door, and stepped out of the vehicle.
She was unaware that when Nathan noticed her flustered and distracted demeanor, a subtle hint of a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
Liam sat in the living room, engrossed in his calligraphy writing.
“Ms, Olivia,” When Tony’s voice rang out, the boy instantly lifted his head.
“Mommy,” he called out
When he saw Nathan standing behind Olivia, a radiant smile instantly bloomed on his adorable face
“Daddy!” He rose, sprinting joyfully toward Nathan
Nathan crouched down and scooped him up.
Liam wrapped his arms around his father’s neck, sizing him up and asking sweetly, “Daddy, are you feeling better now?”
Nathan hummed softly in response.
“Why’d you come bark with Mommy?” Liam blinked his big eyes which was filled with curiosity.
Not wanting to explain too much, Olivia curtly replied, “We ran into each other.”
She didn’t lie, for it was indeed a chance encounter.
Nathan carried the little boy into the living room and sat down when Tony came over with a glass of water. “Mr. Carter, please have some water.”
“Thank you.” Nathan said politely as he received the glass.
Then, he asked his son, “What were you doing just now?”
“Practicing calligraphy”
The boy hopped down from Nathan’s lap, tugging him toward a nearby table. He proudly showed his father his calligraphy piece. “I wrote this”
Because Liam was born and raised overseas, his exposure to the Wirthonian language must’ve been limited. Yet, his handwriting of Winthonian words was surprisingly decent.
Nathan was pleasantly surprised and asked with a smile, “When did you start practicing?”
“Hmm“The boy calculated the time and answered, “It’s been over a year.”
“Oh? Did your mom teach you that?” Nathan asked, looking up at Olivia
He knew that Olivia was quite skilled at calligraphy, so he instantly assumed she must’ve been Liam’s teacher.
No Lum shook his head. “Another old man taught me.”

Liam happily laid out a new sheet of paper. As he picked up the calligraphy brush, a sudden thought struck him.
“Do you know calligraphy?” he asked.
Nathan paused for a moment, then quickly responded, “Sure, Do you want me to teach you?”
