Chapter 268 Take Pride.
Just like how he was teaching Liam.
Memories washed over her like a tidal wave, threatening to drown her in an instant. She hastily suppressed the tumultuous thoughts swirling within her, forcing herself to calm down.
She chose not to pay attention to them. Instead, she sat on the nearby couch with her laptop, striving to focus all her attention on work.
Meanwhile, as Nathan was instructing Liam, his thoughts similarly drifted away.
Olivia was only slightly older than Liam back then. She was very well–behaved and a quick learner.
He had even cleared a desk specifically for her use so that she could practice more comfortably.
As time passed, everything had changed.
He couldn’t suppress the sorrow that welled in his heart as he thought of that. Subconsciously, he turned to look at Olivia and saw her engrossed in her own affairs, seemingly not reminiscing about the past as he was.
Or perhaps, she simply didn’t want to revisit those memories from the past.
For reasons unknown, a wave of bitterness washed over him.
Nathan retracted his gaze, letting out a self–deprecating chuckle. She had suffered during that period, and if he were in her shoes, he wouldn’t want to recall such horrible memories either.
However, the past was in the past. The present and the future were what truly mattered.
He refocused his attention on Liam, patiently teaching the boy calligraphy.
“Besides calligraphy, have you been learning anything else?” Nathan asked out of curiosity.
The boy immediately responded, “Yes. I can play the piano, draw…”
He listed his hobbies enthusiastically!
As Nathan listened to Liam, he discovered that Liam’s interests were quite diverse.
He excelled in both sports and arts equally.
“Daddy, am I amazing?” The boy lifted his chin, eager for his dad to praise him.
Nathan couldn’t help chuckling and nodding. “Yeah, you are. You have more skills than I do.
“Really?” The boy’s eyes widened in curiosity. “What did you use to learn?”
“Hmm…” Nathan pondered seriously, not giving a direct response. Instead, he said, “You’ll find out in due time.”
The boy snorted and pouted in discontent. “Why can’t you tell me now?”
Nathan stroked Liam’s head, asking in a tender voice, “Don’t you think it’s much more interesting to gradually discover what I have learned rather than knowing it all at once?”
Liam didn’t understand his meaning and frowned in confusion.
Nathan smiled faintly. “That means I’ll spend more time with you.”
Liam finally knew what he meant. A smile returned to his face as he nodded vigorously. “Oh, yeah!”
“Let’s continue writing,” said Nathan.

keyboard.
Nathan felt rather helpless when she ignored him. He initiated the conversation, “Did you encourage Liam to pursue these hobbies and interests?”
Although Olivia appeared to be engrossed in her work, she was actually eavesdropping on the conversation between him and Liam
“Yes.” She finally raised her head, but it was only to glance briefly at the boy before continuing. “He is very smart and picks up everything quickly.”
Just like you. She added that inwardly.
“He is indeed bright. I taught him a few words just now, and he’s already good at writing them.” Speaking of this, Nathan felt a sense of pride and accomplishment.
That’s my boy
Stealing a glance at him. Olivia said, “He seems to have a keen interest in everything, and I have the means to let him pursue his hobbies. So, Lencourage him to explore whatever piques his interest, as long as he’s happy.”
