Nathan had been waiting downstairs for quite some time when Liam came running down, beaming happily.
“Daddy. Mommy isn’t angry anymore.” He rushed to Nathan’s side and announced eagerly.
Nathan bent over and pinched the boy’s nose lovingly, smiling. “Thank you”
He knew it was Liam who quelled Olivia’s anger.
“Daddy, don’t make Mommy angry again in the future, Liam reminded.
“Got it” Nathan nodded, looking up at the second floor. A hint of disappointment flickered in his eyes when Olivia still didn’t come back down.
Taking a deep breath, he said to Liam. “It’s late now. I have to head home. I’ll come to see you another day”
The boy’s face fell in disappointment when he heard that. How he wished Nathan could live with him and Olivia. That way, they would never have to be apart.

stay in touch over the phone.” Nathan made a phone call gesture.
Liam nodded. “Okay.”
Upon returning from Scenica Bay, Nathan summoned Ethan over to his place.
“Mr. Carter, what’s the matter? Receiving the call. Ethan rushed over, assuring something had happened.
“The branch office’s recently planning to launch a new online game, right?” Nathan asked.
Ethan was puzzled, not knowing why Nathan brought that up. “Yes, what’s the matter?”
He didn’t summon me just to ask me this, right?
After a moment of silence, Nathan asked again, “What stage are we at now?
“The feedback from the game’s beta test has been overwhelmingly positive. The team’s assessment suggests that upon official launch, the game should easily break into the global top five within a year. However…”
Ethan paused, his expression becoming more serious. “At present, we’re still bine–tuning the server and system maintenance.”
He briefed Nathan on the game’s current status.
“Did the team encounter some difficulties?” Nathan asked, his brow furrowed.
“The server is struggling to manage the game’s demands, and the team is working on expansion efforts…” Ethan trailed off abruptly, his words hanging in the air.
The online game had been in development for a considerable period. Despite the dedicated efforts of the branch office team, it hadn’t quite reached the desired state.
Ethan found himself grappling with how to articulate this to Nathan
Nathan’s expression darkened, and he asked in a deep voice, “And then?”
“Then Ethan hesitated for a moment, “Things didn’t go quite smoothly, resulting in a number of bugs during the game’s operation. The gaming experience wasn’t very good.”
“Is there a solution?”
“For now, no. The team is at their wit’s end over this” Ethan sighed, his face etched with worry. “There are only a few days left until bunch. We’re running out of time.”

“Yes, is there a problem?” Nathan asked nonchalantly.

Ethan paused, choosing his words carefully as he voiced his concern. “Mr. Carter, the development of this online game is nearing completion. Handing it over to Horizon Ventures midway might not be the most suitable course of action.”
The team was dedicated to the project, and introducing a sudden change in personnel could lead to objections from the existing team members.
Furthermore, Horizon Ventures would need to invest time in familiarizing themselves with the intricacies of the game, potentially causing delays in the launch schedule
Nathan had already contemplated the concerns weighing on Ethan’s mind. However, he remained steadfast in his belief in Horizon Venture’s capabilities, placing his trust in Olivia’s expertise.
Therefore, he said, “There’s nothing wrong with that. Since there’s a bug, let Horizon Ventures fix it.”
Since he had made up his mind. Ethan had nothing else to say.
“Don’t let her find out about this.” Nathan cautioned.
Ethan, of course, knew who he was referring to. He could only nod in resignation. “All right. I’ll arrange it right away.”
