The cemetery was located in the southern suburbs of Emberfall. By the time they arrived, a light drizzle had begun to fall from the sky, and the wind blowing in their faces was a bit chilly.
Though it had been several years since Olivia had returned to pay respects to her parents, she quickly found their graves.
Unlike the surrounding graves, her parents‘ tombs were overrun with weeds, clearly showing signs of neglect.
A pang of sorrow hit Olivia at the tip of her nose, her heart feeling as if it was being tightly clenched in someone’s grip.
Tony and Benjamin stepped forward to start pulling out the weeds, both of them wearing equally grave expressions.
Back then, when Olivia’s parents went missing, not even their bodies were found, so those two graves stood empty.

Even though she was smiling, the tears started to flow once again.
Quickly wiping her tears, Olivia arranged the flowers, then turned to Liam and said, “Come, let’s pay our respects to your grandparents”
Liam faithfully knelt by her side.
“Dad, Mom. I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to visit you over the years. I hope you’re not angry or hold it against me.” Gazing at the photograph of her parents, Olivia smiled through her tears and said, “Dad, Mom, this is your grandson. William. I’m sure you would be overjoyed if you could see him.”
Speaking to that point, she bit her lip, sadness once again flooding her heart. “If only you were still here, how wonderful that would be.”
