Chapter 290 Enduring Disdain And Humiliation.
My grandmother It feels so unfamiliar to hear about her again. A hint of mockery flashed in Olivia’s eyes. If Hannah hadn’t mentioned it, she would have completely forgotten about her own grandmother,
Hannah snorted heavily, her tone filled with disdain as she spoke. “Your grandmother is the only one who still cares about the sinner of the Monroe family. After all these years, she still refuses to visit your parents‘ graves. If you ask me, these graves. should just be left alone!”
As she reached the height of her emotional outburst, Hannah’s voice escalated dramatically. “If it wasn’t for your parents. causing Daniel’s death, would our Monroe family be in such a miserable state?”
She used to be the pampered heiress of the prestigious Monroe family, but when the family fell from grace, the friends whot once fawned over her started scoffing at her presence.
This disparity had become a persistent thorn in Hannaly’s heart!
Hannah’s words were harsh, something Olivia had grown accustomed to, yet her expression still darkened a bit.
Frederick, on the other hand, didn’t utter any harsh words. He simply maintained an aloof demeanor, asking a series of questions one after another. “Hadn’t you gone abroad? When did you return? How long have you been back?”
Though his tone was somewhat aggressive, Olivia replied nonchalantly, “I just got back recently and will be staying in the country for now.”
“Since you’re back, there’s no need for others to commemorate your parents‘ death anniversary in the future. We’ll just leave the things here and go.” As soon as he finished speaking, he quickly walked over and placed the flowers he brought before the
tombstone
When his gaze swept over the photo on the tombstone, a hint of disgust emerged in his eyes.
Olivia turned to look at him, catching a glimpse of the disdain in his eyes, her lips curling up into a smirk of mockery.
Her parents were Frederick’s sister–in–law and brother. Even if they had truly made mistakes, they might not even be around anymore. As their closest kin, was he incapable of letting go of his resentment!
Of course, she knew it was impossible because, for them, power and profit were of the utmost importance.
Since they weren’t sincere about visiting the grave, Olivia thought they shouldn’t even bother to do so.
As soon as Frederick put down the flowers, he hurriedly walked away. His anxious demeanor was as if some ferocious beast was pursuing him.
Olivia’s hands at her side subtly clenched as she watched that scene unfold. Her gaze grew colder by a few degrees, finding that icy display of familial affection to be so cold that it was laughable.
However, she knew in her heart that she had no right to blame them.
After all, it was indeed her parents‘ disappearance that had led to a freezing point in their family relations.
At the same time, it’d be a lie if she were to say she didn’t feel wronged
Back then, she was just a child. Instead of protecting her as family should, they blamed her for everything, treating her as the culprit.
During that period, she came to understand the harsh realities and indifference of human nature.
Just like that, she had fallen from the clouds into the dust, her humility so profound that it made them uncomfortable.
Later on, in an attempt to quell the anger and resentment of the Carter family, they even conspired to send her to the Carter family, subjecting her to disdain and humiliation.
Every time she thought about it, there were moments when familial affection felt so cold it chilled her heart.

Chapter 290 Enduring Disdain And Humiliation
As for her grandmother, the old woman had never been fond of her mother, so naturally, she wasn’t fond of her grandmother either.
Finished
She believed Norah only asked Frederick to visit her parent’s grave due to her father, but she believed Norah shouldn’t have bothered if Frederick wasn’t sincere about it.
“Let’s go.” Frederick walked over, waving his hand at Hannah and his daughter, signaling them to hurry up.
The way he was so eager to leave seemed utterly ridiculous and laughable in Olivia’s eyes. These past few years have truly been “tough on them!
