“It would be better not to have such relatives at all.” Tony added in contempt, his heart aching even more for Olivia.
She must have been truly hurt by her relatives to utter such words. It is one thing for outsiders to treat her as a black sheep, but for her own family to do the same, it must have been unbearable. She was so young back then. How could the possibly withstand the dual blows of her parents‘ disappearance and her family turning their backs on her?
Tony felt a sense of unease just by thinking about it.
Thankfully, it’s all in the past now.
“Ms. Olivia, you have us now, and you also have Joker, Tony said emotionally.
Olivia nodded with a smile.
The presence of Joker held more significance to her than those so–called relatives ever did.
If it hadn’t been for Joker, she and Liam would have probably ceased to exist a long time ago.
Not only was Joker her savior, but he also served as a father figure to her.
Apart from Joker, Mystical Alcazar was her home, and everyone else was her family.
These thoughts caused the chill in Olivia’s heart to gradually ease.

“Go back!” Tony scoffed. “They sure have high hopes, don’t they? Since when do they have the right to ask Ms. Olivia to return? Back then, when Ms. Olivia was just a child, how did they treat her? If they had any shame, they should never show their faces in front of her ever again.”
Tony was genuinely furious, his words spewing out like rapid gunfire.
“Yeah, Mommy. If they really come begging for you to return, you mustn’t agree, Liam said in a childish tone.
Olivia chuckled, gently ruffling his hair. “Don’t worry. They would never do something like that, would they?”
If the Monroe family were to find out that she was now the General Manager of Horizon Ventures, they would undoubtedly seek her out. However, they wouldn’t be coming to plead their case but rather in a demanding demeanor.
For them, she was the black sheep of the Monroe family, and no matter how much she had done for the family, they saw it was her obligation.
She had no choice but to face the facts, as she truly understood those so–called relatives of hers.
“It’s best if they didn’t come.” Tony huffed.
The car fell silent once again. Olivia held Liam close, quietly gazing out the car window.
Upon arriving home, Olivia’s mood was already somber due to it being the anniversary of her parent’s passing. Encountering Frederick’s family only served to further dampen her spirits.
She rubbed her forehead, her voice heavy as she said, “Benjamin, I won’t be going to the office today. I’ll leave the urgent matters to you, as for the rest, I’ll deal with them when I return to work tomorrow”
