Chapter 314 Get Closer To Him
After leaving the Monroe residence, Olivia walked toward the car, reaching out to open the door.
Nathan caught up to her from behind and firmly grasped her hand.
Olivia’s heart skipped a beat.
She quickly withdrew her hand, turning to glare at him in displeasure. “Is it a habit of yours to grab people like this, Mr.
Carier?”
Nathan’s eyes narrowed slightly, but instead of answering, he retorted, “When did Liam become King’s son? Why was I not informed?”
His tone was nonchalant, even carrying a hint of teasing.
Olivia’s expression suddenly became somewhat uncomfortable, and she explained irritably, “It’s their own fault for not investigating thoroughly. It has nothing to do with me.”
Nathan raised an eyebrow. “Oh!”
The way he drawled that one word irked Olivia to no end.
Hence, she raised her hand and, pointing at his nose, warned him with each word articulated clearly, “Don’t use this as leverage to fight for custody of Liam!”
Even though they had signed an agreement, such baseless issues were simply not covered within the scope of the agreement!
Nathan quietly observed her, his deep, inscrutable eyes making it impossible to discern his thoughts at that moment.
Feeling inexplicably flustered under the intense gaze, Olivia instinctively clenched her fists, turning her face away. With a hint of irritation in her voice, she said, “Believe it or not, that’s just how things are.”
Although such false news indeed upset him, knowing that she hadn’t been the one to spread it, Nathan felt relieved and didn’t take it to heart.
Carching a glimpse of his slightly softened expression, Olivia pursed her lips and hesitated for a moment before finally asking, “Why did you come here!”
“I just happened to be passing by,” Nathan replied lightly.
Olivia barely managed to suppress the urge to roll her eyes. Did he really think she would believe him?

A flicker of impatience crossed Nathan’s face as he asked in a cold voice, “Ms. Monroe, what exactly are you trying to say?”
