Chapter 33 Are You Teaching Me How to Do Things?
Emma fixed a steely gaze upon Olivia. Much like Olivia, she had spent the entire night without sleep, investing all her efforts into reopening discussions about marriage with Nathan through calls and messages. Yet, Nathan had not responded at all.
This morning, she rushed to the Carter Group, hoping to see him. However, Nathan had been in meetings all morning. After waiting until noon, she heard he had left through the private elevator to head to Martinez Group. She swiftly pursued him, only to find Olivia in Martinez Group.
Thinking Olivia was also here to pursue Nathan, anger surged within Emma. She intercepted Olivia and unleashed a torrent of insults.
Hearing Emma’s words, Olivia’s gaze turned icy. She retorted coldly, “Move out of my way. Don’t obstruct my path!”
Emma, with unyielding pride, refused to budge. “Who do you think you are, telling me to leave? I’ll have you know, even if you act important, in my eyes, you are still a worthless servant, a disgrace who cannot hold her head high in the Carter family! Nathan is not someone you ca
can even dream of!”
“If you had any sense, you would keep your distance from him rather than shamelessly clinging to him like this! Remember the consequences from five years ago?”

Emma intentionally brought up the past, a mocking smile on her lips. “Make another mistake… and Emberfall will have no place for you!*
“Are you trying to teach me how to behave? Olivia listened to Emma’s nonsense and felt annoyed. Her beautiful eyes. narrowed dangerously.
Emma’s breath hitched momentarily. She squared her shoulders and declared, Just stating the facts! Nate took you in out of pity back then. Now, you believe you can linger by his side using underhanded means. Stop daydreaming!”
The absurdity of Emma’s words amused Olivia. “When did I ever say I wanted to stay by his side? Ms. Patel, if your mind is not working, I suggest you promptly visit the hospital for a check–up. Don’t bark around like a rabid dog. Furthermore, since when did I require your interference in my affairs? Who do you think you are?”
After coldly dismissing Emma, Olivia ignored her and proceeded upstairs.
Emma was seething with fury. How could she not realize that Olivia was insulting her sanity?
Unable to contain her anger, she grabbed Olivia’s arm, saying, “Enough with the act, Olivia! You know I’m engaged to Nate, so you’re intentionally causing trouble. Now that you have come all this way, do you dare claim you harbor no ulterior motives? Do you honestly believe I would buy into that?”
Olivia glanced at the spot where Emma grabbed her with a hint of revulsion in her eyes.
Benjamin, ever vigilant, swiftly seized Emma’s wrist. He forcefully removed her from Olivia, saying sternly, “Where did this noisy woman come from? How dare you touch Ms. Monroe?”
Emma was thrown back several steps by the force. Her face contorted with anger. “Olivia, you.”
Olivia cut her off. “If you truly have the ability, then focus on firmly holding onto Nathan instead of shouting at me! It only reflects on your worthlessness if you can’t hold onto him! Don’t direct your frustration at me. I’m busy and don’t have time for your trivial problems.”
With those words, she brushed off the area Emma touched with disdain before turning around and leaving.
Emma stood motionless, trembling with rage.
Olivia! You’re nothing but a lowly servant! What gives you the right to treat me in this manner?

Olivia did not notice the resentment in Emma’s eyes. As she rode the elevator, she could not help but mull over Emma’s
words.
