Chapter 91 Olivia’s Confrontation
“Are you suggesting I purposely left you out?”
Nathan grinned with ambiguity, easing the tension on Lucas without reservation.
He had been whispering in Olivia’s car incessantly, which was quite bothersome.

Lucas flashed a smile. “How could I think such a thing! I noticed you two were chatting lively and didn’t want to interrupt, so I decided to join in on the fun.”
“Alright, all is forgiven then.”
Nathan motioned to Ethan. “Ethan, please pour Mr. Martinez a glass of wine.”
Ethan complied, filling Lucas’s glass.
Lucas lifted it towards Nathan. “To you, Mr. Carter!”
Nathan nodded and took a sip. Once finished, he directed Ethan, “Pour another glass for Mr. Martinez.”
Ethan obliged, refilling Lucas’s glass.
Nathan added, “Mr. Martinez, since you arrived late, it’s only fair you drink three glasses as penance, don’t you think?”
Lucas’s expression stiffened, feeling somewhat incredulous.
Nathan is truly not a good guy!
Nevertheless, for King’s sake, he gritted his teeth and downed the wine.
To Lucas’s surprise, Nathan persisted, “Mr. Martinez, you’re straightforward and easygoing, willing to partake. And since Mr. Hawthorne is also here, would you like to join him for a few drinks?”
“What?”
Lucas was taken aback, realizing Nathan was deliberately toying with him.
His brows furrowed in irritation.
Despite the Carter family’s influence, the Martinez family held its ground. Lucas saw no reason to bend to Nathan’s whims. His demeanor turned frosty.
“Mr. Carter, I’m drinking on behalf of King. He’s not great with alcohol, so… I hope you’ll take it later,” Lucas asserted.

“Oh? In that case, it seems I may have erred,” Nathan’s tone remained icy as he glanced at King. “Mr. Hawthorne, please accept my apologies. If you’re uncomfortable, you should have spoken up earlier. I wouldn’t want to impose…”
King swiftly interjected, “No need to apologize; I can handle my liquor. They just tend to worry unnecessarily!”
Olivia could no longer contain her frustration!

Chapter 91 Olivia’s Confrontation
She sensed Nathan’s actions were targeted towards King.
Is it because of her?
Frowning at Nathan, she silently pleaded for him to cease.
As luck would have it, Nathan’s gaze coincided with hers.
Their eyes locked, and the man’s gaze was icy, devoid of any warmth or kindness.
Olivia’s breath hitched in her throat.

She desperately wished to avoid further confrontation with him, but King’s well–being was paramount!
Otherwise, he might end up in the hospital.
Seeing King down another glass, his face turning pale. In a swift motion, she reached for King’s glass, snatching it away. “Stop drinking!” Her voice carried an urgency born of concern.
“Yes, you can’t drink anymore!” Lucas chimed in.
King waved off Olivia’s concerns with a casual shrug, “There are too many people here to dampen the mood, don’t you think?”
Olivia’s exasperation surged, her voice tinged with reproach and genuine worry, “Do you even realize your condition? Why subject yourself to so much alcohol?”
Despite her chastisement, Olivia’s underlying anxiety was palpable. “If you insist on drinking, then let me take the burden for you.”
Without awaiting Nathan’s response, she turned her gaze to him, her resolve unwavering. “Mr. Carter, I will drink the remainder of the alcohol on behalf of Mr. Hawthorne. He truly cannot handle anymore.”
Before Nathan could react, Olivia lifted the glass to her lips and drained its contents in a single gulp.
Nathan’s expression darkened ominously.
Ethan instinctively took a step back, startled by the intensity of Nathan’s menacing demeanor.
The CEO, typically reserved and composed even when displeased, seemed to have lost his usual restraint. Today, he repeatedly lashed out, directly confronting King.
And it all seemed to revolve around Olivia, this woman!
While others might not be aware, there were hints of Mr. Carter’s feelings towards Olivia.
The mere thought ignited a simmering anger within him.
Recalling Olivia’s disappearance years ago, Mr. Carter’s relentless search for her over five years, risking his own life in the process, only intensified his frustration.
And now, to see her collaborating with another man, defying him yet again, was a bitter pill to swallow.
King may have imbibed his fair share of wine, but did Nathan lag behind?
This woman, she is heartless!
