Nathan replied casually, “Even though Horizon Ventures hasn’t started operations, they’ve already begun networking with other companies. They see the Carter family as an ideal partner. Despite King’s modest appearance, he’s an intelligent young man who prioritizes his interests.”
“That makes sense,” Ethan agreed with a nod.
“No need to rush. The industrial park won’t open for another two months,” Nathan remarked calmly. “If they’re interested in cooperation, there’s no need to be overly eager. We’ll follow the standard procedures.”
After his statement, he took a sip of water and fell silent.
Observing this, Ethan held back from further remarks. He couldn’t shake the feeling that the CEO’s mood was becoming more erratic by the minute.

“Any objections to that?” Lucas readily concurred before turning to Olivia with a playful tone, saying, “Congratulations, Ms. Monroe. When we cross paths in the business world again, please look after me. I fear you’ll outshine me before long!”
His words carried a hint of playful teasing mixed with genuine sincerity.
Brimming with confidence, Olivia assured him, “No problem at all. Consider me your ally.”
As their light–hearted conversation came to an end, the host wrapped up the warm–up and declared, “Now, our CEO, Mr. Hawthorne, together with our General Manager, Ms. Monroe, and Mr. Martinez from the Martinez Group, will proceed with the Ribbon–Cutting Ceremony.”
A staff member approached with a tray holding several scissors.
Olivia, King, and Lucas stepped forward, each taking hold of a pair of scissors, and smoothly completed the ribbon–cutting ceremony.
Following the ceremony, the press began posing questions, some deliberately challenging.
Olivia remained mainly indifferent to the questions posed by the press.
She considered them insignificant in light of her past experiences and the challenges she had overcome.
To her, such questions paled in comparison to the skepticism and ridicule she had faced when King appointed her as the general manager despite objections.
