Keith arrived with Mike and Irene on the day Ivy’s paternity test report was released.
Although they were mentally prepared, Irene still burst into tears and sobbed uncontrollably in Mike’s arms when the doctor handed them the results.
Mike asked, “Does this mean that Sandra is our biological daughter?”
The doctor took out another paternity test report done earlier. It was a test done a month ago, ordered by Sandra.
Irene cried even louder. “My poor Sandra. She knew we were her biological parents all along, and we did such things to her. It’s so worrying now that she’s disappeared.”
Mike sighed constantly too. He also remembered how he treated Sandra before that.
Keith frowned.
All of them had been deceived by Ivy.
Irene charged into Ivy’s room with the paternity test report and threw the report to her face.
“Dad, Mom, what are you doing?”
“How dare you still call us your parents? Ivy, you lied to us!
Ivy looked at the paternity test report in front of her.
She stopped pretending and sneered, “It’s not my fault you’ve got pea–sized brains. I just forged a fake paternity test result and you believed it completely. It seems that you’ve been dissatisfied with Sandra for a long time, so I figured that since you don’t like Sandra, I would just replace her.”
Irene stepped forward and grabbed Ivy’s collar. “Why are you doing this? What’s in it for you?”
Ivy pushed Irene away and pointed at Keith. “It’s all because of him. If they didn’t get engaged, I wouldn’t have to pretend to be Sandra and wouldn’t need to replace Sandra. Why must Sandra get everything and I have to be the orphan? I’m now paralyzed in bed, unable to move!”
Ivy was about to act crazy, but was slapped hard by Irene.
“Shut up! My poor Sandra… What have we done to Sandra?”
Ivy’s mouth was bleeding, but she still smiled at the three people in front of her.
“No matter what, I’ve achieved my goals. I’m Keith’s wife now. If you want to have any connection to the Farmer family, you have to acknowledge me as your daughter.”
Keith, who had been standing by the door, finally spoke. “Legally speaking, we aren’t married yet. We will never be in the future too.”
Ivy screamed and smashed everything she could touch. “Keith, I became a cripple because of you! How dare you do this to me?” 1
Keith ignored her madness. He looked at Mike and Irene and said, “Mr. and Mrs. Hudson, don’t worry. I’ll definitely find Sandra! She is the only one who will be my wife!”
Keith left the ward without looking back after he said that.
Mike and Irene glared at Ivy.
