Sandra cried so hard that she almost fainted. Everyone tried to find a way to get to the bottorn of the cliff, hoping that they could be saved.
“Mr. Farmer, you are finally awake.”
Keith’s assistant, Jared Light, walked over to him.
Jared’s eyes were red, as if he had just cried. “Mr. Farmer, I was really scared.”
Keith wanted to speak, but he could not speak at all.
“Don’t move. You fell off the high cliff. Fortunately, there were branches and snow piles to cushion the fall. Otherwise, you would’ve died. You have a high fever and have been in a coma for three days.‘
Keith looked at the ceiling, his mind fuzzy. He finally remembered everything that happened.
He supported himself to sit up with great difficulty then pulled out the IV needle in his hand. Blood dripped from his fingertips, looking grim.
‘Where is the specimen? Can it still be used?‘
He looked around, but did not see Sandra.
‘Did Sandra have an accident too? If not, why isn’t she guarding my bed?‘
He demonstrated his feelings for her, so she would definitely have forgiven him.
Keith stepped barefoot on the cold floor.
“Mr. Farmer…”
Jared knew that he would not be able to stop him, so he let Keith continue walking. He searched for several wards and finally saw Sandra at the last ward at the end of the floor.
He felt relieved at that moment. Sandra was fine. However, Sandra was gently feeding Zachary some soup.
Tears welled up in Keith’s eyes. He felt very uncomfortable watching the pair being intimate.
Sandra still did not forgive him. Perhaps, she had given up on him a long time ago.
Jared watched Keith from behind but did not approach. Keith wanted to speak to Sandra, hoping that she would take a look at him again.
Keith’s fiery stares attracted Zachary’s attention.
Sandra turned around and looked back along Zachary’s eyes and saw Keith looking haggard. Sandra tucked the corner of the quilt for Zachary and said something to him with her head down. She then stood up and walked toward Keith.
Sandra saw the blood on Keith’s hand and frowned.
