Keith changed into new, clean clothes and went to the entrance of the research facility again.
The security personnel recognized him and asked, “Are you here for Ms. Hudson again?”
Keith bribed the security personnel with two packs of cigarettes. He happily accepted them and whispered in Keith’s ear, “Ms. Hudson seems to have a conflict with Mr. Lawrence.”
Keith smiled in relief and thanked the security personnel. He went directly into the main building of the research facilities.
Keith waited for a long time on the first floor, but he did not see Sandra come down. Later, he saw Marcus walking down the stairs slowly towards him.
“Hello, Mr. White.”
“Keith, please go home. You’ve been here for a long time. I heard that you manage a big corporation, so don’t you need to go back to handle it?”
Marcus immediately ordered Keith to leave.
Keith knew what Marcus meant, but he would not give up. “Mr. White, I’m sorry for what happened before. I was reckless.”
Marcus waved his hand with a smile on his face, but his tone was
cold.
“We all need to take responsibility for our own actions, this applies to both you and I. You can see that Sandra is now with Zachary, and they’re getting along really well. I’ve heard about what happened at your wedding. I’m sure you understand Sandra well, right?”
Keith still wanted to defend himself. “Mr. White, I just want Sandra to give me a chance to start over again.”
Marcus adjusted his glasses and replied, “She has given you many chances.”
Keith had no way to refute. He had made many mistakes before, even locking her up in the wine cellar. At that time, he was too confident and never thought that he would lose Sandra.
“Keith.”
A familiar voice came from behind them.
It was Sandra and Zachary holding hands, walking slowly down the stairs.
“If you have anything to say, say it now. Please don’t come to look for me again in the future. I don’t want to make things difficult for Mr. White and Zachary.”
Keith’s eyes were fiery red as he stared at them holding hands.
Marcus patted Sandra on her shoulder and said, “Handle this well. I’ll take my leave now.”
“I thought we had made things clear in the hospital the other time.”
At that moment, Keith felt his heart was being sliced apart. He could barely breathe. Sandra pushed him away repeatedly, and he no longer had the courage to win her back.
Zachary patted Keith’s shoulder, “Please leave. It won’t be good for anyone if you continue to dwell on the situation.”
Keith did not answer, standing frozen in the hall.

Sandra ignored him. She took Zachary’s hand, and the both of them went back upstairs. She did not look back, just like how Keith left with Ivy previously.
Mike and Irene arrived the next afternoon. Keith and Jared drove to pick them up.
Keith was not in a good mood throughout the journey. He kept his silence.
It was Jared that was constantly having a conversation with Mike and Irene. He told them everything that happened over the past few days.
