Chapter 14
After spending the entire day exploring Melbourne with Ryan, exhaustion settled deep into my bones.l
By the time we arrived at the Donovan estate, I barely had the energy to say goodnight before heading straight to my room!
12:20 PM c
So, it took him this long to realize I was gone.
Days had passed before he even noticed my belongings were missing
And it took another day for him to finally understand that I had truly left
A bitter laugh escaped my lips and I could not help sneering. “Took you a long time, Leo.”
I hesitantly opened the email just to read so many questions on it
(Lucy why did you leave? Why didn’t you say anything? Where are you? Answer mell
So, he still did not know the reason why I left.
“What a scumbag. He only ever cared about himself all the time,” I cursed without knowing in the end
But then I exhaled sharply. My fingers hovered over the keyboard for a moment before I began to type.
Our relationship is beyond repair)
I hit send and wanted to place my phone back on the nightstand.
But my phone vibrated again. Another email
[Lucy, don’t do this. This isn’t over. Please unblock my number, so that I can call you to explain everything. Please listen to my explanation first. You can’t do this to me ]
I sighed, staring at my phone wondering, If I don’t end this today.
it will ke
keep happening.
So, after thinking about it. I unblocked his number and answered him shortly. Done ]
Within seconds, my phone rang
I inhaled deeply before answering. “Tell me shortly, what do you want?”
The moment I did, I could hear it in his voice. He was drunk
“Lucy,” he slurred, his breathing heavy. Finally, you unblock me. Tell me, what was the reason, Lucy? “We have been forgiving each other, right? I had explained everything, night? Why did you do this to me? “Can’t you apologize to me when you’re sober?” I asked coldly
It was always like that. He only remembered me when he was drunk, making me hate him more.
Leo chuckled bitterly on the other end. “You expect me to be sober at this moment? How could I, Lucy?”
“I am so desperate here. You leave me without reason. We were fine yesterday, you even slept beside me, but what happened today? You disappear your trace gone, everything about you can’t be discovered.
“Tell me, where are you? I will pick you up immediately. Let’s discuss it at home, okay?”
“Home? I am at home now, so which home do you mean, Leo?” I sneered
There was a brief silence, as if Leo did not know what to answer anymore.
But then, A woman’s voice broke through the call.”
“Leo, who are you calling?“||
At that time, I did not know if Leo was with Sara in the hotel room.
At the party. Sara watched Leo with calculating eyes, waiting for the perfect moment
He was already drinking heavily drowning himself in alcohol like it would somehow bring me back.
So, Sara took the opportunity to slip a small vial from her purse, her fingers steady as she poured the drug into his drink.
She swirled the glass lightly, watching the liquid mix before pushing it toward him with a gentle smile.
“Here, Leo. This one’s strong–it’ll help you forget everything for a while,” she cooed.
Leo, too heartbroken to think, grabbed the glass instead and downed it in one gulp.
The bum of alcohol hit first. Then, something else
A slow heat spread through his veins. His skin felt too hot, his breaths growing heavier by the second.
His body reacted before his mind could catch up..
Sara smiled to herself. Everything was going exactly as planned.
When she noticed his dazed expression, she quickly stepped in
“You don’t look so good, Leo, she said, feigning concern. “Let me take you somewhere you can rest.”
She helped him out of the party, hailed a car, and took him straight to a hotel suite she had prepared in advance.
Inside, the lights were dim, the air thick with a familiar scent, her new perfume. The one that smelled exactly like me.
She had made sure her hair was dyed the same color. Her outfit mimicked my style, down to the smallest detail.
Everything was calculated. She had planned to tease Leo right away, to push him into needing her.
But then she saw the notification on his phone. An email from me saying, (Done)
She clicked on it, reading the whole conversation and her lips curled into a smirk.
She grabbed Leo’s phone and dialed Lucy’s number||
When the call connected, she pressed it against Leo’s ear.
“Leo,” she whispered, her voice dripping with mock sympathy, “Lucy left you because you can’t be what she wants.”
Leo groaned, ongoing his halt, his body shivering from the drug’s effect

Leo groaned, gripping his hair, his body shivering from the drug’s effect.
“How dare you!” he snapped. “No! Lucy will definitely come back!“}
Sara giggled. “Come to your senses, Leo,”
But before he could lash out at her, my voice came through the phone. He asked desperately through the phone.
But the burning sensation in his body was worsening.
His breathing was ragged and his mind clouded. Even the room spun and the dim glow of the hotel suite only blurred his vision.
Through the haze, he saw a woman, similar to the one he talked to on the phone
As he was narrowing his eyes, he smelled the scent of my perfume surrounding him.
So, his mind believed if the silhouette in front of him at that moment was the one he was looking for.X
The woman asked in an angry but flirty tone, “Leo, who are you calling?“!
Leo’s heart pounded.
His lips parted, his voice trembling with desperation. “Lucy- you came back?”
